Punta Pescadero Paradise Hotel & Villas

I feel it's necessary to write this review which may help us stay the loyal clients we have been now for almost 20 years.. We usually stay at this hotel at least once a year as we live in San Jose and this hotel has always been comfortable and a great place to get away from home for a few days.. That said, our last visit was very far from usual and even if the staff was trying their best, the infrastructure of the hotel has been degrading fast and basic expected comfort was very disappointing. No Internet in the rooms (starlink not working, other networks not available in the rooms), therefore no TV (Netflix etc.), air conditioner so noisy making it difficult or impossible to sleep even with earplugs. Slow service and door of the room not closing properly and very difficult communication with management not fully speaking English. To be honest, and I'm saying this with great sadness and regret, I don't think we will be able to visit again as the rates are getting high and the hotel is definitely not up to the standard expected. Hope for the future they find a way to attract us and other locals to this beautiful paradise but the owners should urgently invest rapidly before losing the good reputation they had in Baja.

The staff was very kind other than the guy who checked me in who told me that I'm in Mexico and that I need to speak spanish in a very nasty tone. He made me feel so uncomfortable that I almost left immediately. The food is average and the road to the resort was arduous. Unless you want total isolation I would say pick a spot closer to los barriles.

Went to the restaurant and bar, they would not let us in or serve us after a 30 minute drive to view the hotel. What a waste of time, do not visit or spend your time traveling to this resort. The staff was not accommodating, and the office staff was then inconsiderate and told us they did not need our business or dollars.

Absolutely stunning location! Worth the rough ride getting there. Very quiet & laid back with friendly staff.Kayaking, snorkeling available onsite for free. Nice pool and gym. Corn-hole on patio overlooking ocean. Restaurant onsite offers nice continental breakfast as well as snacks, lunch & dinner. We saw whales and dolphins swim past daily.

Wow! Wow! Wow! This place is a hidden gem! A nightmare drive in (dirt track) but then we found out there is another road. Nevertheless, this place will take your breath away. Ocean views and very spacious suites for everyone. Extremely clean and with a private beach, swimming pool and gym this is definitely worth a visit. The water is stunning, the sunrises are epic, there’s games if you desire, the grounds are immaculate and there’s plenty of opportunities to just relax. The food is next level, OMG everything we ate was extraordinary. Meal sizes are large, the menu is extensive (there’s two) and everything was served hot and fresh. The cauliflower is an absolute must, fish tacos are divine and the pastas are amazing. Wish we stayed longer, great value for money too. Will never stop raving about this place to everyone I know.

This is all about the restaurant at the hotel. It is off the charts fantastic. I’ve been visiting Los Barilles for over 30 years and have always ventured to Pescadora for the restaurant and the view. It never disappoints and this was no exception. The quality of the food and service is excellent. We loved the new menu. We shared a beet salad - fresh and tasty. Then beef carpaccio, a treat. Then, a new Grouper Sandwich was the main feast and what a treat. The slaw and flavors were spot on and the fish cooked to perfection. Fries were excellent too. Wow. My mouth waters thinking about it. Not only is the food first rate, wonderful chef, but the management and staff are lovely. Someday, I’m sure we’ll stay there too. But we’ll always have at least one meal there.

Dream location, far away from other hotels. Large clean room, with ocean views. Good food and friendly staff. Overall wonderful stay, in the company of a colony of pelicans. Some of the infrastructure is a bit abandoned such as the tennis court, and prices for extra activities such as fishing or ATVs are very high. Also note that the road to the hotel is a dirt road - better to have a bigger car.

Lovley, clean, quiet place to stay! The staff is friendly and attentive, food and drinks are delicious! The hotel is charmming and rooms all have beautiful ocean views with private patio and the beds are very comfortable! Always clean and tidy! We've stayed here many times are are always pleased! Can't wait for our next visit.

So pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s by far the most gorgeous hotel property compared to hotels in Los Barriles. It’s very remote and people free. We don’t like crowds and prefer quiet areas so it was perfect for us. The beach was just such a huge plus. The snorkeling was very diverse and colorful just feet from shore. The water is cold in February so I recommend a wet suit for sure! They have complimentary kayaks and SUP boards there too. We fished every day from the kayaks and saw A pod of Orcas swim right by (too close) The rooms are way better than the website pictures and I was pleasantly surprised. They were very clean and all had ocean views. The showers hot water tho is basically non existent so be prepared for that but we are low maintenance so didn’t bother us to much just inconvenient. I wouldn’t stay here tho unless you plan on renting an ATV or UTV. It’s the only tourist place for about 15-30 min depending on if you go north or south. We rented a Utv from the Quadman in Los Barriles and they offer free delivery and pick up from the hotel. If you go through the hotel it’s 125 a day or 25 dollars per hour. We loved the little town north of the hotel called el cordanol. It had the best restaurants. Check out the sushi place or the pizza place up there if you can. Transportation wise: don’t go through the hotel. They charge about 100 more than Viktor tax service. He charged us 300 round trip and was very reliable. I would have given it 5 out of 5 but I give it a 4 only because the water in the shower was cold 90 percent of the time. We went in Feb so the temps were a little chilly and would have been nice to warm up The staff was so nice here even when we struggled with the language barrier.
