Hotel Magic Ski

What a brilliant hotel! When we first arrived I was worried as we went down for dinner and I found a hair in my soup and my friend found plastic in her dessert so not a good start, but after that hiccup it all was fine. The following morning our key card stopped working. A member of staff came up and had to dismantle the device on the door. The card still didn't work after this, so the staff moved us to a suite on the top floor :) we were very happy with the outcome, the suite was lovely! The food was delicious with plenty of choice everyday. Having half board really helped as we were out allday skiing. We'd set ourself up in the morning then put on comfy clothes on for the evening meal which was from 7pm. What I loved about this hotel was how close the gondola was to take you to the slopes. We took the lift down to the basement, walk up some stairs and it was right there, this was very helpful. The hotel had a spa as well, we went in one night and it 10 euros each. It had everything you needed to relax, I especially loved the jacuzzi We really enjoyed staying at this hotel and would come back here again

7 night stay, a first time skiing holiday with family & friends. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfectly located hotel for the gondola. The rooms are great, really comfortable and clean. Plenty of selection at breakfast and evening meal. We never eat anywhere else in the evening as the food was so good. Reception staff are friendly and happy to help with anything. All the staff are really friendly and especially the chefs and restaurant staff, they literally can’t do enough for you. I never used the spa area so can’t comment on that but we didn’t go to the hotel for that. The lockers in the hotel basement are great, you can literally walk up a set of stairs to the gondola entrance. We didn’t find out until the end of the holiday that we could have paid €36 for a locker at the slopes to save taking all the equipment up & down the gondola but I suppose it depends on your party size. We used Inghams to book the holiday and Noema our rep was there for us. We had her mobile number so was in easy reach if we needed her. I honestly couldn’t fault this holiday.

Stayed at the Hotel Magic Ski in La Massana for a week skiing, half board with Inghams. Rooms were comfy, and very warm. There was a great selection on offer at breakfast and evening meal, as buffet style eating. Plenty of healthy options, great for all eaters. The spa was ok, they required you to wear flip flops, and a swim cap which were available at a small price. Staff were really helpful in giving us advice about the area. Skiing was easy from the hotel, being just below the Gondola, and the boot room at the hotel was ideally placed with easy access. La Massana was super quiet as a place to stay not much in the way of lively apres ski. But Arinsal was a short bus ride away and taxi home. This was much more lively compared with La Massana, had we realized this before our last night we would have probably spent more time in evening here.

I’ve just returned from 5 fabulous days at this hotel in a party of 6. This hotel is fabulous. Great value, spotlessly clean, excellent service, convenient location and a great choice of good quality food. Lovely big comfy beds, cosy warm rooms and plenty of hot water. My only suggestion is that the Spa facilities are improved as one of the hot stone beds wasn’t working and the jacuzzi wasn’t very hot.

Superbly located for Skiing with very helpful staff. Especially the reception staff who happily helped us arrange taxis to La Vella. Big selection for breakfast setting everyone up for a great days skiing.

Very clean and quiet place, super friendly workers.

Nice place, friendly staff, good little pool for the kids, foods good, great location for the gondola, and the bar is a decent price. My kids have enjoyed it. What would make it 5 stars is some good vegetarian/vegan options not just, as the Chef told me, "Salad".

We booked the hotel through a package with Inghams. The hotel is in a great location for the telecabina up to the mountains and for the ski hire shops. The staff could not have been nicer, and we really enjoyed practicing our Spanish. The food was also lovely. There was plenty of variety and lots of fresh salad options as well as the more traditional winter fare. My daughter really enjoyed the ice cream station and the chocolate spread dispenser in the morning at breakfast. Breakfast itself also had lots of options, including fresh juice and decent coffee. The bar was well-priced and the seating area comfy. On some evenings, entertainment is laid on - face painting and a magician, for example - but very low key and no pressure to join. The spa area was spa but perfect for the hour slot that can be booked. The lady who worked there was really kind and friendly, and kept everything and everyone in good order, asking people to move to another part if they'd been in the whirlpool for too long, for example. The ski lockers were great. Plenty of room to put boots on. The only slight downside was the metal steps up to the telecabina station were a little steep and slippery once in ski boots. We've never been back to the same hotel for holidays as we like to try out new places, but I would definitely return here and recommend it.

Great location, literally next door to the gondola up the mountain. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff are nice but my only critism would be not many, if any, spoke English. Breakfast was lovely, not sure I would do an evening meal there again.
