I got a taxi here, which cost me 17 euros. On arriving at Los Amigos, around 1345 the reception was closed, and was not due to re-open until 5pm. There was a strong smell of **** walking into the Hostel. Once check in re-opened I was shown a room and my bed, and the shower rooms, and toilets, as well as the kitchen area. The shared rooms do not have keys, or key cards, but the double rooms, have a padlock on the outside. The first night I was there, there was endless queues for people to use the kitchen to cook their food. Los Amigos, have a Whatsapp group you can join which I did, but most of the messages were about parties, with locations to be revealed. Los Amigos have bikes you can rent by the hour, but hardly any of them worked. There was strong wifi in the chill out area, but none in the rooms, which could become an issue for some people. There was a member of staff doing tattoos, on staff and customers. There was an issue with electricity, and walking to the bathroom in the early hours you would need the torch on your phone, as the lights were not working. Even in the evening in the chill out area, some nights all the lights would go out. Also the showers were not very warm at all, or cleaned regularly. The breakfast was ok. If you was short on funds there was a cupboard in the kitchen that had food left by previous people. There is a bus stop nearby. There is a small pool. I did not see anyone use it. On my last day I arranged with the guy on reception a lift to the airport for 4pm, he asked a female worker in front of me if she would do it. She agreed. I asked if this was definite, as the reception is closed at 4pm and I was assured this was not be an issue. However the female staff worker was no where to be seen at 4pm, as was no other staff members. I waited for almost 15 minutes, with nothing. I had to find alternative transportation at short notice. I would not stay here again.
