Logis - Hôtel & Restaurant le Bellevue

Very convenient stopover for first or last night from or to Calais. Great riverside location in charming village. Parking (street only and free) might be a bit hit or miss though on our visit in August we had no problems getting right outside but if you do have to use the ferry terminal parking (also free?) it would be a bit of a hike with luggage. Warm and efficient check in and the the lift was welcome for elderly legs. The room was modest and simple and perhaps a bit dated but had all the essentials and was clean and well maintained with a great river view. So far so good. Then we had dinner in the restaurant and things changed from perfectly OK to outstanding. Our party of four all had different main courses and all agreed that we had rarely if ever enjoyed a meal more. The ingredients and cooking were superb with a subtlety and complexity way beyond expectations in an hotel in this price range. For example my wife and had different fish dishes both served with a risotto but a bit of cross tasting established that the these accompaniments, both excellent, had distinctly different flavours, obviously no mass production here. The service and charm of the young waitress matched the quality of the food and the whole team from boss to cleaner were friendly, helpful and efficient. We slept well with no outside or inside noise though the wall thickness might be an issue if you get a noisy neighbour breakfast did not disappoint and the bill was more than reasonable. Definitely somewhere worth a return visit for the experience as well as the convenience.

Lovely hotel on the Seine in a beautiful historic village. Stop off on way to the tunnel. Small rooms but nicely decorated with a comfortable bed. Restaurant was open even on a Monday and was excellent. Delicious food and wine plus friendly service. Very good value.

This is one of those now rare family-run French hotels and it is a gem. It is in the pretty village of La Bouille right on the Seine near to Rouen. Our room overlooked the Seine and was clean and well-appointed without being luxurious. The restaurant is very good - we had two excellent dinners there. Breakfast too is very good, and the staff are charming and helpful. Previously we have stayed in Rouen as we travelled down through France and returned, but in future we shall stay here. Highly recommended.

Pleasant hotel good value for money,charming owners ,good beds in a fair size room overlooking the Seine, decor a little uninspired and bathrooms basic but the food makes up for everything, superb! Prices correct,pleasant walk along the river ,dog’s welcome couldn’t want more for the price

Un hôtel-restaurant à découvrir : le cadre est très agréable, dépaysant, le village authentique, la cuisine excellente, tout comme le service, et les chambres très bien refaites, avec goût et avec qualité, dans une très jolie déco tout comme le restaurant. Félicitations pour tout ! Cela fait plaisir de vous faire travailler...

Charmant hôtel, la décoration est soignée et le personnel particulièrement aimable. Les chambres mériteraient peut-être un léger rafraîchissement mais sont tout à fait convenables, la literie est de qualité. Le petit déjeuner est particulièrement savoureux. Je recommande également le restaurant avec des produits locaux de qualité et une cuisine excellente.
