Perfectly located, just a 10 minute walk from the beachfront, restaurants, watersports and ******, this apart/hotel is an ideal base when visiting La Baule and the surrounding area. It's nestled within a residential area so much calmer than the busy seafront. Rooms are decent, well equipped with a good bathroom. Staff are friendly and helpful (they booked our terre de sel visit for us). There is a small pool and a ping pong table. Breakfast is available for a fee, but we found a really nice epicèrie just a 5min walk away, selling bread, croissants, fruit, veg, paté and coffee too. WiFi could be a bit sporadic at hotel, but I would highly recommend.

I stayed there for 6 nights in November whilst visiting an aunt at Les Hespérides. Charming couple running the hotel. My room was on a small side, second floor, no lift, but I had help with my luggage on arrival and departure. My room was very clean and perfectly adequate for my need as I only used it to sleep but I would not like it if I needed to spend time relaxing. Price was very acceptable and I would definitely return next time I visit my aunt. Also it was end of the season and they kindly accepted to extend my stay one more day which I thought was very nice as they were closing for a holiday.

Diese 20 Tage im Juli waren meine zweite Aufenthaltsdauer, nach dem im letzten Jahr, in diesem kleinen Hotel, etwa 70 m vom Meeresfront entfernt, nahe dem Markt und nicht weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. In meinem Zimmer, ”Oberster”, hatte ich alle notwendigen Komfortelemente. Das Frühstück war riesig und verändert. Was das Personal angeht, war immer verfügbar und lächelnd. Schließlich füge ich hinzu, dass die Nachten ruhig waren.

Nice covered porch terrace to enjoy some drinks or food when weather is permitting because at Fall and in Winter the terrace is not as fun. First the pleasant facts : nice serice even if a little deb side, good oysters on the shell with well selected Muscadet white wine, BUT we had also an unplesant experience when having a coffee inside, on the nice attractive corner when entering the room on the right hand side, because we had an issue with bad smellings such as a blend of cold tabacco and toilets smelling, the one you enjoy of course, coming from the toilets side on the way to the kitchen that is the most concerning ::: Then we decided not to stay longer and by the way, we could notice waitresses if they were wearing masks while attending customers used to put it down while staying gathered behind the counter but in the public room anyway. Seems to be the way in this area, not only at La Baule but also the villags and small citie around where people do not care with Cocid protection measures
