Kununurra Country Club Resort

Der Ort ist sehr abgelegen, mehr als 130 Kilometer von Broome entfernt, aber der Sonnenuntergang und das leckere Essen sind eine oder zwei Nächte wert. Auch die von uns gebuchte Gartenvilla ist sehr geräumig und bietet problemlos Platz für drei bis vier Personen.

Got left at the airport 3/4 hour, we booked transfer, rang to ask where they were, said they were coming turned up in car, no signs on car and picked up two other people, rang again, were told we were in the wrong place of course we were not, no apologies nothing, and none from reception either, place is old, restaurant very expensive plenty other places to stay

The Hotel is in the centre of town but designed in such a way that you feel like you are in a quiet oasis. You are a few minutes walk from the supermarket, pubs and cafes. The room was well designed and comfortable. The bed was a king size, and the room very quiet - great sleep quality. The pool was lovely and shaded to protect from the strong sun. The gardens and surrounds were very well maintained and offer lots of shade and greenery which attracts some lovely bird life. The restaurant food was delicious, albeit not cheap. We had dinner and it was excellent and served on a nice outdoor deck area. There is limited periods of time the restaurant is open (6-8pm from memory) and not open for lunch - most people are out on tours I guess. This is a regional Hotel, and getting a little tired in some areas, but overall it is very good with nice features. The Hotel provided a complimentary pick up and drop off service for the airport which worked really well. We dealt with a number of staff during our stay and they were all very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.
