Great airport hotel. Awesome rooms, beautifully designed and have everything that you need and more ! I appreciate the free airport shuttle which operates every half an hour from 4am to 2pm. You do need to let the front desk know you need this service in advanced as seats on the car is limited. This service is very handy especially when I have elderly parents travelling with me. Great shout out to the driver who was very helpful with the luggage and he was friendly and polite. Reception had prepared packed breakfast for us which was very thoughtful, eggs, bread and milk, however our milk were all confiscated at the airport custom as we forgot we could not bring liquid across. This is something for guests to take note of and maybe the hotel can help remind guests about this. I have to highlight a few quirks of this place though that can hopefully improve the experience. There is a steep flight of stairs between the main road and the hotel building, it's a weird urban design if you ask me but this seems to be out of the hotel's control. That means if you have heavy luggages and elderly with waking issues to manage, this is problematic. Reception pointed to us a slop along the steep flight of stairs but is just as steep that is might as well not exist in the first place. We asked if reception has anyone to help, perhaps a porter or a young lad around but there was none. They were also not very helpful in suggesting alternatives ways of getting into the hotel. We realised ourselves much later there is a back door on ground level although it could mean a longer walk around to get to that. but it's better than not providing any suggestions. While I don't expect the ladies at the reception to help with the heavy luggages, I thought the management could have some protocols to help guests who have issues with the steep flight of stairways. In 21st century, it is important to consider inclusivity design of service offering to achieve a more international level of standards. Just a suggestion for management consideration. Overall, it's a good hotel with awesome hardware, but the service training could be better. The reception at the front is great at doing the standard basics but could do with some improvement of being a little more sympathetic to guests reaching out for support and help. I think this hotel has great potential to compete with other big international brand names with a little more service improvements. Ibis is just literally next door but I hope Chinese brands will thrive even more in the near future. I will keep a look out for this Chinese chain in the future when visiting China ! :)

the room was super clean, picked us up at 2am from the airport and also breakfast was very reasonable. i like this hotel and will stay if i ever need a night mear the airport again

Room is big and comfortable for an overnight stay after a long hour flight. Provide free airport transfer service to and from airport.

The hotel is nice and clean. Breakfast is included with some varieties. It's about 15 minutes drive from the airport.

The hotel has a heavenly bed. The room was super clean which I appreciated a lot after long travels. The reception staff were sweet and friendly. They helped me to book a taxi from the hotel because their shuttle bus service stops at 2:30PM. For travellers coming to Kunming from abroad note: bring cash RMB because you will need to pay the taxi, 40RMB two way ride. Taxi gives receipts. There is no public transportation such as bus or metro to the hotel area. Alternatively, you could download WeChat, didi applications. Unfortunately the hotel's wifi is weak and I was not able to download the apps. Otherwise enjoy a nice luxurious room with super comfy bed. Highly recommend the hotel.

Hotel is very clean and located only 15 mins away from the airport which is perfect for us who were on a 7am flight. We ordered food delivery and staff was very helpful to send delivery guy up to our doorstep. As we were not able to have breakfast, staff actually packed a breakfast pack for us. They provide shuttle service to the airport at 30 mins interval in the early mornings. You just need to inform staff and booked ahead as they have limited sitting capacity.

Nice and clean and 15 Min driver from hotel to airport - breakfast was also decent -and shuttle service is also an added advantage - which comes with an added price but its worth it .

Amazing experience here. We stayed here for one night before our early morning flight in KMG, and I must say, this is worth the amount we paid for! It’s very clean and spacious and the toilet is big as well! Very comfortable and happy stay. Was sad I had to leave so quickly :”)

Our flight arrived Kunming 2am, we choose this hotel because of the airport transfer and reasonable price. We contacted them one day before departure for the pick up, their staff very friendly and give us the driver contact so we can communicate with each other on actual day. The overall environment was good, the hygiene was good, the room is clean. Xiaodu is smart 😄. Although the bedding is hard but the price is reasonable with breakfast. The only one star I did not give on service mainly because the front staff did not smile and greet at us during our check in. Definitely I will choose to stay in this hotel for my future trip.

Booked this because it's within the airport area and I'm reaching at 2am. Location is fairly far from the main city area. However, place is clean and large enough.
