When I arrived, the keys were handed to me by the shopping mall staff, but I was never informed about a security deposit. Throughout my two-night stay, the managing agent harassed me for this deposit. How is that the guest’s fault? When I offered to pay in the evening when I returned, the mall counter staff said they couldn’t issue a receipt for the 300 ringgit cash. The agent claimed he would collect the money himself but never showed up. What was supposed to be a holiday turned into a nightmare filled with harassing messages, including threats that I’d be responsible for any damages to the apartment. Is this how you treat a seventy-year-old guest? The digital door lock didn’t even work.
