Alkion Hotel

I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit kriopigi the beautiful views and beautiful sunsets are just that beautiful! We stayed for 10 nights and this was my second time here this year , I went with my daughter and a friend back in June for a week returned with my Fiancé , in sept for the 10 days... We had a wonderful time the staff Alex, Sami, and all the staff at breakfast, and at the pool bar were lovely and very helpful polite and friendly.. The rooms were spotless clean towels everyday.. we were in room 101 and that is ground floor with a beautiful patio with very comfy patio set, lovely to sit out at night with a glass of yr favourite and read or listen to some music.. This hotel is very relaxing quite and the staff don't pester you at all.. The beach is down a rather steep hill but there is the Albion bus that takes you down and back up and set times.. definitely well worth the visit to the beach it is stunning .. I just want to finish off with saying thank you to Alex, Sami, and all the staff we will be back in July and for 14 days this time haha can't wait 😃😃

Nice hotel with a great sea view. Staff super-helpful. Good variety of choice at breakfast. Very steep few hundred yards walk to small beach, but worth it. Good poolside bar for drinks and bar snacks. Walk into town was a couple of hundred yards up-hill. Recommend :)

The hotel is set in beautiful landscaped gardens, with lovely views across to the sea. The standard apartment we had was very clean, had a double bed, a single bed and a small kitchenette. The shower room/wet room was new and had a very good shower. There was a nice balcony looking on to trees with the sea in the background. Breakfast has plenty to offer (cakes, pastries,breads, fruit, yoghurt, cold meats, cheese,eggs, bacon, sausages, beans). The hotel is situated down a hill from the resort. It is about a ten minute walk up the hill to the resort. A very busy main road runs through it. There are several very good restaurants and bars, a couple of supermarkets and a play area for children. Crossing the road can be quite difficult, but a set of traffic lights does slow the traffic down and allow people to cross. There is a lovely little beach with sunbeds further down the hill from the hotel. It's quite busy but it's sandy and the sea is warm. There are good sunbeds with shade for 15 euros. Great views across to the next peninsula. The hill is not for anyone with mobility problems, but the hotel runs a regular shuttle bus to the beach, which is great. The pool at the hotel is really good, it is deep though but there is a small pool for very young children. There are always free sunbeds during the day. We didn't hire a car, but we spoke to people who did, and they found it easy to drive around the area. We had a lovely week here. The only thing that would stop us returning is the resort and its busy road. The hotel itself is one of the best I have been to in Greece and worthy of its 4 stars (Greek rating).

We have just returned from a fabulous holiday staying at the Alkion Hotel. It was just perfect in every way. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond their roles to ensure we had a lovely time. They were amazing with our 3 children who have made some amazing memories- especially with the lifeguard and waitress’. They were so helpful to us and it was sad to leave! The room was clean and modern with a gorgeous spacious balcony. The breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice and catered for everyone. Reception staff were great too and sorted trips, taxi’s and car hire. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The location is beautiful too- short walks to both the beach and the town. 🇬🇷😍

My wife and I were here with our 5 year old granddaughter and as the hotel in general is concerned it is very good. Rooms are very nice and they are serviced daily. We normally go to the islands for our holidays and have done so for many years. The Akion lacks the personal friendly service and fails to make you feel like one of the family. Perhaps they are too big to do this as it is a lot bigger place than we normally stay at. The breakfast is good lots of choice but very crowded after 9.00 . It opens at 8.00 and one morning we set off at 7.50 for a day out and they would not let us take some cakes for a snake on the way as it was not open even though the food was all laid out. I get it but not the personal touch that we get from other places we have stayed at on the islands. We will not be coming back to halkidiki as the whole place seems to lack the customer service like you get on the islands.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at the Alkion Hotel. We stayed in Room 302 in a ground floor room which was in the pool area. Lovely room with double bed & small kitchen area which we only used for making tea & coffee. The terrace had a garden view with the sea & the Sithonia Peninsula in the distance. The aircon in the room worked well & was free. The safe needs to be rented at reception- very inexpensive. I would recommend a citronella candle if you’re going to sit on the terrace as there are mosquitoes around. The room was kept spotless & change of sheets & towels every 2 days. The pool area was very nice with enough sunbeds & umbrellas to go round. A few were reserved in the morning but we always found spare ones when we came back from the beach in the afternoons. The pool bar serves very nice food & a large beer is €4. Spirits were pricey imo at €8 but they were cheaper up in the village. The servers at the bar were excellent. Breakfast at the hotel was very good indeed with continental & hot food choices served from 8am until 10am. The hotel also provides a shuttle bus to the beach at the bottom of a pretty steep hill - the times are in reception. It was a 10 minute walk down to the beach & 15 minutes back. Up the the village was 5 mins. The staff at the Alkion are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for Alex & Samir in reception especially but everyone else was friendly & professional. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Alkion & would stay here again if we travel to Halkidiki. Thankyou very much for a great stay.
