Hotel Mercure Kourou Ariatel

Our room was comfortable and good quality shower. We had a view of the lake which is definitely something to ask for if booking. Although there was a function on one of the nights we were there the staff were friendly in dealing with finding us alternatives. We didn’t like the fact that the air conditioning in our room was on when we arrived and was too cold. Also too cold in breakfast room. But that might speak to others. Take mosquito repellent as it is by a lake.

Stayed two nights on a tour (booked by travel agent). Quiet location and well kept grounds. Spacious room with kitchenette, seating area and desk area. Well located power jacks. Comfortable bed, very flat pillows. Bathroom with everything in working order, good water pressure in the shower. No toiletries other than liquid soap. No dish detergent. And for the negatives, the place needs better maintenance. The first night the smoke alarm started going off before I even turned the hot water on to shower. The staff came and checked it and concluded that the battery was faulty and took the battery out. Shortly thereafter the A/C stopped working: I had to call the staff back, they couldn't figure out what was wrong but said that the A/C had been acting up for a while. In the end, I had to change rooms. It was already past 23:00 and I had already unpacked all my staff, so changing rooms took a while. Due to these mishaps. I lost 1.5 hours of sleep. The second room was very similar, and fortunately everything worked, although the A/C display showed that the filters needed to be changed. For the price paid, better maintenance is definitely expected. Breakfast buffet with good selection. Wifi worked well.

Accueil de la standardiste MÉPRISANT du début à la fin du séjour .( lève les yeux au ciel à chaque question , donne le dos aux clients , n’indiquent pas le chemin des chambres aux personnes âgées à mobilité réduite et handicapées , répond quand on lui demande où se situe le terrain de tennis «  vous allez trouvez seul c’est facile » Groupe de 11 personnes , 4 suites privilèges, dîner du soir payé malgré les CATASTROPHES de la cuisine ( entrées servies en fin de repas - menu enfant arrivé à la fin du repas général des adultes ) et je précise que nous étions 3 tables au restaurant ce soir la , pas de quoi être un Rush , buffet du lendemain midi payé mais consommé car il nous a été demandé de dégager des chambres à midi alors que nous avions demandé un départ tardif et qu’il Avait été accepté par cette même standardiste non qualifiée . Réformez vos équipes d’accueil ou embauchez du personnel qualifié ! Un remboursement de la prestation du buffet non consommé par 11 PERSONNES serait plus qu’appréciable pour des clients ayant l’habitude de venir dans votre établissement .
