Is a good place to stay & relaxing, nearby town side Kota Belud, very friendly staffs a quiet place, price was cheap. Good environment surrounding was nice nearbourhood, I would recommend to go to this place for a cheap & budget stay. A lot of surrounding environment area to see, There were 10 rooms all together, group around the place, not far from the roadside, at around 5 minutes walking & 3 minutes driving then can reach the place

My partner and I really like this place very spacious room,bed is good but the ac is not that cold and some of the inside room structure really needed attention to be repaired,such as the bathroom some of the lights didn't work inside the room but the room got good window and the view in the morning is nice located at very quiet part of the town parking for car is a lot and convinient hotel also close to many convinient store around receptionist is very professional attending customer and friendly check in instructions are very clear and easy will look forward for future stay.

Nice place. I had a very pleasant stay. Staff are very helpful. The room was big enough and good for stay. The breakfast provided so simple but delicious. The accommodation very near to the usukan beach as a few steps only. Beautiful beach especially during high tide and it will be a very nice family gathering at Usukan Cove Lodge. Overall we had a very nice and good stay at there. Will come again soon.

Die erste Hotelbewertung im Ausland, gewidmet dem Dolphin Island Resort🐬 Ich habe meinen Kindern versprochen, sie einmal ins Ausland zu bringen, bevor sie zur Grundschule gehen. Ich konnte mein Versprechen nicht brechen. Ich habe Kota Kinabalu als Ziel ausgewählt. Sie können das Meer beobachten, Sand graben, schnorcheln und Fische beobachten. Das ist es, was meine Kinder lieben. Als ich mich für ein Hotel entschieden habe, hatte ich eine Phobie. Ich habe lange gezögert, aber ich habe meiner Intuition vertraut und mich für dieses Hotel entschieden. Es hat wirklich großartig geschmeckt! sehr empfehlenswert! Nach der Reservierung kontaktierte mich das Personal und fügte WeChat hinzu. Die verschiedenen Vorsichtsmaßnahmen wurden sehr klar erklärt. Nach dem Einchecken waren alle Mitarbeiter sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Ich war mit allem, einschließlich Essen, Unterkunft und Unterhaltung für ein paar Tage, sehr zufrieden. Unter den Mitarbeitern gibt es ein einheimisches Mädchen namens Snowman, das Chinesisch sprechen kann! Es gibt auch einen hübschen Kerl, der kein Chinesisch kann, den auf Bild 2. Er ist sehr aufmerksam auf die Kinder und hat unseren Babys das Schwimmen und Schnorcheln beigebracht. Ich bin sehr berührt... Abends gibt es auch eine Aufführung , was sehr lebhaft ist. Beim Verlassen sagte das Kind, dass es das nächste Mal gerne hierher kommen würde.

Häuser befinden sich auf dem schönen, sauberen Strand. Der Strand ist nicht leicht zugänglich, deshalb wurden wir dort mit dem Boot befördert. Es ist ein enormer Vorteil, da der Strand im Grunde privat ist. Unterkunft ist sauber und gemütlich. Die besten Teile sind eine Terrasse mit einem Außenbett, von dem Sie die Sonnenuntergang, sowie das Außenbad mit schönen Blumen und der Dusche mit Regenkopf für die Erfrischung Duschen während des Tages beobachten können. Es gibt viele Ausrüstungen für Gäste, darunter Kanu, Bamboo Float und die Snorkeling-Maske. Wird sehr schön, hilfsbereit und tragbar. Die uns fast wie eine königliche Familie fühlen :) Sie halfen uns, unsere Zeit während des Aufenthalts zu organisieren. Sie nahmen uns sogar für eine große Reise in die nahe gelegene Stadt für ein erstaunliches Abendessen, das eine tolle Erfahrung war. Alle Mitarbeiter auf der Website sind sehr nett und hilfreich. Am Ende muss ich etwas Essen erwähnen... Es ist DELICIOUS! Das beste Essen, das wir während unserer Reise hatten. Der Koch hat uns jeden Tag mit einer Vielzahl traditioneller Küche behandelt – wir alle einig waren, dass er uns die besten Prawns, die wir je hatten serviert. Our family of 5 stayed at BigFin for 2 nights recently towards the end of our trip to Sabah. We were very happy with our stay. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer :) Location of the resort is remote and idyllic. It is a small resort set on a beautiful beach, and is completely surrounded by nature. The rooms are on a small hill up from the beach. From outside our room we had a lovely view of the beach, the rolling rainforest hills, and Mt. Kinabalu in the distance. We spent our time walking and dipping in the water on the beach, did a little hiking, went out on kayaks and paddle boards, did some great snorkeling, and spent some time chilling in the hammocks. Really beautiful sunsets on the beach. If you go out snorkeling, remember to stop at the white platform. Food is included, and it was tasty. Dinner was rice, chicken, and two vegetables. Lunch was noodles and fried rice. Breakfast was eggs and toast or pancakes, which were very good. Beware of their home-made hot sauces :) The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and the resort is well maintained. Each room has hammocks outside that are really inviting. No A/C, but the room fan was very comfortable at night. The room gets hot during the day, but that's when we were either out or chilling in the hammocks :) They run generators for power from 5-11pm. We enjoyed chatting with Awie, the chef and manager. The owner, Ella, was working hard with her staff, taking care of the place. All of the staff were very pleasant and friendly. It does take some effort to get there, but if you're looking for R&R in a beautiful beach and nature setting, I'd certainly recommend BigFin. Some logistical notes: 1. We had a rental car, and parking was provided at the boat pick up point. 2. There is no boat pier at the pick up or drop off point. You get on & off the boat in shallow beach water, so dress and pack accordingly. 3. The last stretch of road to get there is unpaved and narrow. We had no problem in our small rental car.

On our way to Cabana Retreat, we saw a couple of cows at the roadside. Since I wanted to take some photos, my friend made a U-turn so that I could capture a few. One cow was a shade of white & it looked quite tame & docile. The road leading to our retreat was very quiet. We hardly saw any cars & passed a jetty signboard. We arrived at 3:00 pm & managed to park our rented car near the Resort’s entrance. I went straight to the Front desk to check-in & to get our keys to our quad-tent. Thankfully, our quad-tent was located near to the common bathroom. We had chosen a quad-tent because the 4 of us wanted to have a glamping experience together. Unfortunately, one friend had to leave. Thus, there was 1 empty mattress on a wooden pallet which we had used to put all our food. Although the quad-tent was compact, it came equipped with an air-cooler, a standing fan, a small wooden table & chair, a wicker basket that was used as a wastepaper basket, a long mirror & a small area to hang our clothes. There was also a steel shoe rack. Throw pillows were given on each bed. The sheets & blankets were of hotel quality while the mattress was comfortable enough though I could still feel the wooden pallets underneath it all. The material covering our tents was of high quality too & we had double tent zippers for safety & protection. Our 2-day package came with free activities on the beach. Unfortunately, the staff was not available to teach us to handle the paddleboat. Hence, we had to forgo the non-motorised activities. My 2 friends decided to rest in the tent but I decided to walk on the beach. Strangely enough, I saw many cows on the beach! They were going for the waves. As it was starting to drizzle, I left the beach & headed back to the tent. Our package also included a Firefly experience on our 1st night. However, we had to drive to the jetty ourselves. When we arrived, we mentioned the name of our Hotel & were given admittance into the boat. The host, a middle-aged man told us to be quiet while he summoned the fireflies to our direction. It was such an awesome magical experience when the fireflies started appearing before your very eyes. Even if it’s not in the package, please make sure that you go for this activity. The next morning, we had breakfast at the Coffee House as it was included in the package. We were given a selection to choose from, either American or local meals. They were freshly made & tasty. The scenery was of the beach. There were also a few swings for guests to enjoy on underneath a roof. Outdoor tables, chairs & benches were provided on the beach where guests could enjoy their breakfast with the sand underneath their feet. There were many cats & dogs around the vicinity. Most probably they were strays. We saw a rooster trying to chase away a mangy dog. Throughout our stay, we would buy some food & feed the cats, dogs & rooster. In short, all meals – breakfast, lunch & dinner were at the Coffee House. We didn’t feel a need to
