Die Lage ist 10 Minuten von der Wasserfront und der Busstand, wo Busse von Kota Kinabalu und Miri ab und ankommen. 500 m vom lokalen Busstand. Das Hotel verfügt über einen Kaffeekauf, der das Frühstücksset verkauft. Sie bieten unbegrenzte RO Trinkwasser in Jugs vom Rezeption. Sehr nahe Restaurant ca. 600 Meter. Es ist sicher in Brunei, so ist es nicht wichtig, wenn Sie in der Nacht in der Dunkelheit zu Fuß gehen. Bonus, kostenloses Flughafen fallen. Ich wusste nicht einmal, dass die Rezeption Lady informierte mich zum Zeitpunkt der check-out oder sonst wird ein Dollar Busfahrt, die etwa 45 Minuten dauert. Es gab mir Zeit, das Museum zu besuchen und etwas Essen zu kaufen, um am Flughafen zu haben. Ich empfehle das Hotel sehr.

The free transport option offered on arrival at the airport was a very appealing aspect at this hotel and it was seamless when arriving late at night. The city’s roads were deserted so the journey didn’t take long and the welcome from the reception was superb, feeling so friendly and more like arriving into someone’s home than a hotel. It may feel a little tucked away and at times more of a business office location, but it was the ideal spot for a short break in the city and all the main sights are easily walkable. There’s two buildings for the accommodation and mine was on the second floor in the alternative building. There is a decent lift as well as stairs available to use and the room itself was a good enough size. It was a little basic and functional, but with the prices charged I can’t complain. Be sure to close the blind in the shower at night else the glass door allows the morning sun throughout the whole room, but the air-conditioning worked well, there’s plugs by the side of the bed and a decent enough desk for doing any work. The TV was small and there isn’t a huge amount of storage but everywhere at least seemed very clean. Noise from outside was minimal, given the hotel is tucked away in it’s own carpark, although it was possible to hear water running throughout the building from other rooms throughout the night. Breakfast continued the friendly ‘home run’ affair and was quite nice. There’s a decent number of hot dishes on the buffet and the live omelette station is a good touch. Again all the staff are super welcoming and can’t do enough to help. There’s a mix of tables with many suitable for large groups as well. I can’t comment on their evening offering since it was closed for a private function. If you’re looking for the height of luxury and modernness you’ll be disappointed, but for a clean comfortable room, in a great location with welcoming atmosphere, certainly consider it - I will be again and it’s brilliant value.

Frühstück extrem teuer, wenn Sie arbeiten und nur Toast und Kaffee wollen - nur das Buffet ist verfügbar und £11 für das. Als wir Abendessen in einem Restaurant bestellten, kamen sie alle zu verschiedenen Zeiten, so dass wir endlich ein gemeinsames Essen alle zu verschiedenen Zeiten essen. Bezahlt für Zimmer bis 4:00 am Tag der Abreise: WiFi abgeschaltet bei 15.55, da wir die letzten Nachrichten vor der Reise senden - als wir extra bezahlt fand ich diese sehr irritierend. Pool - nicht wert der Mühe - klein und sinnlos. Würde als Geschäftshotel verwendet, aber nicht erwarten, wowed.

Great hotel in Bandar Seri Begawan, and in an excellent location. The hotel is relatively small and has a boutique hotel feeling. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Very clean rooms, though a bit on the small side. I would not given a 5 star review to the hotel as (1) the breakfast was average, and (2) the water in the room shower was not hot (very very lukewarm). I had complained about this with the hotel staff but nothing happened (not sure they could fix it). I would highly recommend this hotel to whoever visits Brunei.

Schöne Wasserhäuser sind schöner und sauberer als auf den Fotos.  Gut, das besondere Gefühl, im Wasser zu leben, kann morgens gebrochen und Sonnenuntergang fühlen. Die ruhige Nacht, in der Sie auf den Fußgängern laufen, können Sie die Lichtlandschaft der Stadt und der Moschee an der anderen Seite sehen. Das ist eine tolle Erfahrung. Drei Familienlebende Katzen, die auch die Straße führen, sind ein großes Lichtpunkt. Ich mag am Morgen auf einem Holztisch sitzen und genießen Sie ein reichhaltiges Frühstück. Es ist fast 2 Jahre MCO und jetzt habe ich die Gelegenheit, meinen Mann in Brunei zu besuchen. Denken über Selbstisolierung wird die schlimmste Zeit meines Lebens sein, die ich für mindestens 7-14 Tage allein im Hotelzimmer sein werde. Also war ich für einige Aktivitäten vorbereitet, darunter Büroarbeit ...oh Liebe Glück, dass ich von überall arbeiten kann. Das Zimmer ist sehr geräumig und sauber. Ich kann meinen Sitz für Arbeit, ein Buch lesen oder ein Essen haben. Die gemütliche Atmosphäre im Wohnbereich ist so entspannt. Ich kann die Aussichten der Stadt aus dem Fenster sehen. Sprich über das Essen ist großartig! Ich habe überhaupt keine Beschwerde außer mein Gewicht haha ... Darüber hinaus war die Gastfreundschaft der Mitarbeiter großartig! Ich vermisse wirklich die Momente. Ich empfahl dieses Hotel sehr, dass der beste Ort, wo Sie bleiben, wann immer Sie Brunei besuchen. -siti-

We stayed at The Empire overnight in transit to Australia. The buildings alone are incredibly impressive as are the grounds, facilities ( restaurants, cinema, 24 hour cafe) and the amazing pool. The staff are super friendly, efficient and keen to help in any way. Our room was spacious with a great ocean view and the bed was wonderful. We used bikes to explore the property, visited the in house cinema and spent a lazy afternoon by the pool using the kayaks and SUP boards. The grounds are streaming with bird life. We saw sea eagles, kingfishers, parrots and more. We ate in the Pantai restaurant which offered good food at reasonable prices. The downside for us was the buffet breakfast which had a wide selection of food but some of the offerings such as roti, dim sum and curries were already cold and unappetising by 8.00am. Breakfast and airport transit are not included in the room rate so these extras add up making this an expensive option. There are many private beaches on the property but we were told swimming is at your own risk due to the small risk of crocodiles. Overall it was a real experience to stay here!

sehr beunruhigt, dass mein Essen zu lange dauerte, um zu machen. bestellte ein Pasta-Tafel mit speziellen Pasta-Anfrage, fast dreißig Minuten nach dem Warten, dann kam der Wächter heraus und sagte mir, sie liefen aus der Pasta, die ich beantragte. Und ich wartete wieder, mein Essen war das letzte zu kommen. sehr beunruhigt. У нас не было выбора, потому что в связи с каникулами все другие отели были забиты. Хочу сразу сказать, что персонал очень старался, но из этого барака нельзя выжать больше, чем есть. Номера очень маленькие, я смотрел даже люксы, но и там места немного. Пришлось согласиться с двумя соединяющимися комнатами. Лифта нет, есть шикарная лестница, словно принесенная из отеля получше. В коридорах жара, потому что кондиционеры выключены в целях экономии. В комнатах кондиционеры пришлось гонять весь день, чтобы они хоть как-то охладили воздух, еле живые. Но это еще ерунда. Самое ужасное - это кровати! Они настолько твердые, как если бы вы лежали просто на фанере. Жена хотела сбежать обратно домой уже после первой же ночи в отеле, но я уговорил ее поменяться кроватями, что, впрочем, мало помогло. В санузле одной комнаты не было горячей воды, а во второй лейка душа была повреждена и брызгала во все стороны. Сотрудник отеля позвонил ночью и предупредил, что мы забыли выключить свет в машине, я вышел и выключил, спасибо ему, иначе бы утром не завел. Парковка была все время забита, и менеджер отеля поставил нашу машину на ВИП место прямо перед входом. Повторюсь - персонал великолепный, добрые и отзывчивые люди, но сам отель очень устал. Найдите другое место, если возможно, за эту цену обычно большой выбор.
