Inexpensive accommodation. Free breakfast a generous offering includes fresh bread, a variety if jams and toppings, orange juice, cereals quality teas and real Vittoria ground coffee. Cool hotel and represents fantastic value for money. Have stayed in motels charging $50 per night more that offered less.

We five walkers, wet and tired after an exhausting and demanding rail trail hike from Warrnambool to Koroit, received a truly hospitable welcome from host Wendy. There was a lovely fire blazing, we were given freedom of hotel, had a nourishing and pleasant dinner, then adjourned to our snug, comfortable beds. Everything was laid out for our breakfast early next morning - we felt very much at home and were able to tackle the next leg of the trail, Koroit to Port Fairy, feeling rested and fresh. It is a unique, fabulous hotel - thank you so much Wendy.

Wow this place was so good. The meals were spot on and the people that run the pub are so nice. They had a music festival on the we were there so at night when you were having your meal people say old Irish songs and played violins and other instruments. It was just like being in Ireland.

Great location even though I was having dinner in Warrnambool, warm friendly ambience, cheerful breakfast room where travellers meet and chat, my 4 th visit, great value for money!

It is great old school pub ! Welcoming feel. Friendly, genuine, attentive staff. Fantastic food - great pub grub ! We loved our room ( does not matter there was no ensuite), guest lounge - well appointed comfy!, Guest kitchen was clean - well appointed and it had great touches. The roaring fire in the public bar added to the welcoming feel, as did the nice alcoves to eat lunch - including the historic signs ( including old funny ones), pictures etc We will be going back for more. Thanks !

The antiques and decor were delightful. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice pub with good food and breakfast facilities

This hotel is left over from a bygone era. That said it contains a busy Irish themed pub, an equally well patronised dining room and the licensees are relaxed and friendly. Each room is uniquely furnished. No cookie cutter decor here! Bed was comfortable and the linen was fresh and smelled lovely. Ladies bathroom….did you get that? No ensuites in sight. The ladies is new and and showers are great. No elevator and the stairs are 19th century steep though very sturdy. The tv room seemed a bit uncomfortable with all the bits stored in it…no tv in room. bring your own device. The breakfast room has been refurbished in a pleasing manner although the ubiquitous clutter threatens to overtake….lucky that the ceilings are so high there is still a sense of spaciousness. All in all we were safe, comfortable, in clean rooms with windows that open and breakfast room available at all hours. Despite all the quirks I would return.
