Whispering Rocks Hampi Hills by StayApart, Hampi

We chose this restaurant to have a celebration lunch for one of our gr9up of four and really regretted our choice. Impressed by the extensive multicuisine menu, two of us ordered butter garlic prawns , roast potatoes and kingfish fried just with butter, garlic and black pepper. We emphasized many times that there should be NO other spices and the waiter nodded. Our friends ordered prawn curry and chicken korma with naans. Our drinks came quite fast (lassi and lemon soda) . After 25 minutes , our three dishes arrived but the dishes ordered by our friends came after another 30 minutes when we had finished eating! That too after reminding. Their curries must have been already made and it was only the naans that would have to be cooked fresh so the delay is quite incomprehensible and totally spoilt our lunch. Coming to the taste of the food, while our friends' dishes were ok, our prawns were rubbery and 5asteless . The worst thing was that despite our clear instructions, the kingfish was smothered in some awful spice paste. We couldn't eat it and refused to pay for it. Only the potatoes were ok. The management had to accept this but did so with little grace. There was no apology offered. Instead, the staff argued with us. An absolutely awful experience ! It 8s clear that the place lacks managerial supervision and the kitchen 8s not capable of living up to the ambitious menu.

I honestly wish I could give negative stars. We reserved rooms at Whispering Rocks two months in advance for a group of 10 bikers, anticipating a much-needed break after an exhausting 650 km ride that took us from dawn until nightfall. We arrived at the hotel completely drained, only to be told—after paying a deposit—that our rooms weren’t available. The level of unprofessionalism and disrespect we experienced is beyond comprehension. Not only did they leave us stranded in the middle of the night at 11 PM, but they also failed to notify us in advance, forcing us to scramble for accommodations with no options left. The fact that they treated paying customers this way, especially after a grueling journey, is not just unprofessional—it’s downright disgraceful. If you're considering Whispering Rocks, beware: they will completely disregard your reservation and leave you out in the cold without hesitation. Don’t waste your time here—find a place that actually respects its customers and honors its commitments.

pathetic experiance with this resort. if you are planning to visit this restaurant with family, it might be terrible experiance. Please do not visit this resort even if you had to stay in a jungle. The rooms are too basic and filled with frogs though rooms are very costly. There is no supply of hot water in the rooms. The owner of restaurant is very rude and arrogant. he didn't have sense how to communicate with customers. Overall it was the worst experience and the resort is not a proper location for a family vacation. ambience and food service is only better.
