For temple visit we have visited kolhapur on 19th. Very nice experience during check in which was very smooth and professional. Rooms are good spacious and well maintained.

The most overpriced unwholesome experience avoid at all costs! We walk in tired and the so called front office person tries to charge us 5800 + gst while his colleague has actually confirmed 5200 + gst at this point when we give him his colleagues name he adds the final amount on the card machine and presents it to me. He gives us a room and ask us to depart prior to 10 am this while being aware that we are here on a religious trip I am with senior citizens one of whom is limping , the entire modus is of trying to squeeze a penny. We enter the room and a very nice bell boy gets us all the missing toiletries and water. We tell him the air conditioning is non functional this is at 11 30 pm he asks us to wait for 20 minutes. At 1 am when we call the front office the same *** who checked us in says I am sending a technician to check and lo and behold the technician is this young multipurpose bell boy. It’s like I’m in grand Budapest based in Kolhapur the characters are straight out of Wes Anderson barring us enduring the whole sham. Save your money and stay at any other property! PS : this is our last trip after 5 previous trips in 2 years.

We actually visited the dining and not stay. Opal is quite popular and also very famous in Kolhapur. It is just next to the five star hotel Sayaji. It is also very accessible from main parts of city like the Kolhapur bus stand or railway station. Its nearby localities also have McD and other hotels like Dehati and some more. Must try dishes in Opal which ai would recommend are: For Veg peoples: 1- Veg thali - This is semi unlimited thali with variety of dishes in gravy sabzi, dal, rice, sweet, papadam etc. 2- Panner masala 3- jeera rice For Non- Veg peoples: Well you have varieties to try but I would recommend, 1- Mutton Masala or 2- Mutton Fry 3- Mutton Biryani 4- Chicken Spl biryani 5- Chicken masala 6- Butter Naan for sweet lovers: 1- Lassi is a must drink to try. Thick and creamy. Also you can try the Chas (buttermilk), Solkadi - Very popular drink in Maharashtra side (specially costal regions) this helps in keeping you stomach calm and also helps in acidity and heat problems.

Clean, spacious and modern rooms. My room had a balcony, hot water, fan, TV, wifi and big bed. Not very busy or noisy around the hotel either. Close to or just in between the temple, the lake and restaurants. It is one of the best stays I've had in India after 11 months of experience. Very helpful and friendly staff as well! +++++

Wir buchen diese Unterkunft über Agoda und blieben für 1 Nacht. Diese Unterkunft ist sehr nahe dem Shree Mahalaxmi Ambabai Tempel. (10 Minuten zu Fuß). Sie haben einen großen Parkplatz (Grundstück und draußen). Die Zimmer sind auch angemessen groß und sehr sauber und gut gepflegt. Wir reservierten 1 Deluxe Zimmer. Frühstück wurde mit unserem Aufenthalt enthalten. Einzig die Frage war, dass der Server die Optionen zu Ihrem Tisch bringen muss. Es gibt kein Buffet. Das vergeuden eigentlich viel Zeit. Auch hier hatte Abendessen. Wir bestellten einen Hühnchen pahadi kebab und Paneer tikka masala mit Butter roti. Alle Artikel waren lecker. Ich würde sicher empfehlen, diesen Ort für jeden, der Kolhapur besucht.

The Silver Oak hotel is located at Bindu chowk, just opposite to Commerce college. Being on busy road it is very hard to get a parking area. We reached the hotel at 12:25 and checkin process took 15 minutes as the rooms are getting ready. The hotel rooms are clean but very small and even the bath area is also very Conjusted. It was raining the whole day and expected hot water, but there is no chance except warm water. There is no proper ventilation in the rooms. The service is average as there are no trained staff and one cannot expect more. North Indian and Punjabi food is available in the restaurant but the taste is average and needs a lot of improvement. We ordered harabara kabab which is out of taste and Veg Kolhapuri is too spicy. At the time of booking on phone they confirmed that Complimentary breakfast is available, but later they served Ala kata with limited menu. The lobby area is too small. The only advantage of this hotel is, it is 10 minutes walkable distance to Shri Mahalaxmi Temple. There are many hotels available nearby temple. Overall tourists can get better options with in the same budget.

I have stayed with my wife in Hotel Madhuri Executive in March 2022. We stayed for the purpose of visiting Mahalaxmi temple in the morning & doing pooja. The tariff is affordable & service is apt. There was a minor TV swithcing on problem but overall, a good stay . The main Mahalaxmi temple is @ just 5 mniutes walking distance, I did not test food here. The devotees shall book this hotel room for Mahalaxmi darshan.

A very nice budget hotel with all the basic amenities one needs. It's main highlight is the proximity to the temple, at a distance of only about 200-250 m. However, it's just conveniently located to avoid the very crowded street just outside the temple. One can walk down in about 10 mins to the temple. Our biggest decision factor to select this hotel was exactly that. We had our car which we dint want to park in cramped areas near the temple, so leaving it in a parking at the hotel we were staying in was our option. The rooms and the property are well maintained and for an 8 year old hotel look decently new. The ambience is also good. Only downside is absence of a restaurant on the premises. The staff told us that while there was a restaurant functional before COVID (you will still see a mention of the restaurant on the hotel board), it hasn't reopened since the lockdown. The restaurants around the hotel are very small and offer typically local Maharashtrian fare which may not be suitable for all. The reception and staff however are very cooperative in getting food from the surrounding restaurants to your room if you so desire. We managed to order breakfast on both days of our stay there (idlis and poha ***** with tea and chocolate milk for the kids) which was nicely delivered to our room. However for dinner, we had to travel to the newer city areas which are a good 4-5 km away. Without our car, we would have struggled. All in all, a very comfortable stay, sans for the food part which if can be managed like the way we did, this hotel is a very convenient and practical option for staying near the temple.

The washroom was the cleanest. I would suggest this place for your stay.”
