Returned in 2025, after stays at the original Seafood bungalows in 2023 and 2024. After booking they said they had a boat to transfer us/luggage from ferry drop off to the property. When we arrived, we were shunted to a different property (Chom View) a few hundred metres further up the beach (North, away from other facilities) without any explanation. The bungalow was pleasant enough, if a bit small, had a sea view and the family owners were very obliging. However it was not what we had booked and also there was no WIFI (Seafood has free WIFI at its excellent restaurant). They lent us a dongle which gave a very slow 4G signal. The evening before we left, Seafood bosses insisted we check out at 11am because more guests were due and said someone would come at 11am to take our luggage back to Seafood for onward transfer to the ferry point. Our ferry was not until the afternoon so we'd hoped to have a swim in the morning. No one came for the luggage, we waited for over 1.5 hours and neither did new guests arrive or someone to clean the bungalow. The accommodation owner could see we were anxious, reminded Seafood of their arrangement but still no one came. He called them again and was told that they would not transfer our luggage to the ferry point because we had not booked tickets through them. So much for their promised longtail transfer which they had done in previous years! We are in our 70s and unable to carry luggage any distance along a beach. The owner got a friend to take us and luggage direct to the ferry point. Thai hospitality is legendary and normally people are so kind. It was a shock to be treated with such disdain and lack of respect by Seafood, especially as we had enjoyed better treatment previously.
