Mrs. Preethy provided exceptional support with booking our cottage and crafting a well-rounded itinerary, even accommodating our queries late into the evening at 10 PM on a Sunday. The drive to Tamara is narrow and winding, so I advise exercising caution. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed at the reception with a cup of house-brewed jaggery coffee and delicately scented warm towels before being escorted to our cottage in buggies. From the moment we stepped inside, it felt like an escape into another world. The all-wood construction, accentuated by soft, amber lighting, created an atmosphere perfectly in tune with the expansive natural surroundings. The view from the balcony was simply sublime. With the gentle sounds of chirping birds and the soft flow of a natural stream, it felt as though we were enveloped in a meditative dreamscape. If you’re visiting between mid-August and December, I strongly recommend wearing closed shoes and knee-length socks, as the leeches will be just as thrilled by the lush surroundings as you are. Gum boots are ideal, but any well-covered shoe will suffice. The nature trail, “Blossom to Brew,” and the trekking sessions were fascinating, led by naturalists Ashwath and Karthik. Their deep knowledge of the local flora and fauna was shared in a manner both technical and accessible, making the experience richly educational. The estate itself is vast, with plenty of signage to keep visitors oriented. I suggest carrying an umbrella in the evenings, as sudden downpours are common during the latter half of the year. The amenities, including the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and pools, are meticulously maintained, with accommodating staff ready to assist. We booked a Swedish massage at the spa, and while the aroma oils and ambiance were excellent, the massage itself left me wishing for a bit more depth. Dining at The Falls was a delight, with the buffet meals as part of our package exceeding expectations. The servers were cheerful and attentive, making thoughtful dish recommendations and ensuring a seamless dining experience. During the Asian-themed buffet, I was recommended the Teppanyaki, prepared live before us. The chef’s artistry and flair added an exciting dimension to the meal. Our final evening was enhanced by lively musical covers, a perfect backdrop to our dinner. Depending on your arrival time, various events add to the resort's vibrant atmosphere. However, no matter when you visit, both relaxation and entertainment are guaranteed. Add this to your bucket list—you won’t be disappointed.
