we booked villa between 2nd to 4th May...a full villa with 3 bedrooms .. outside temperature was around 32 degress .. when we reached the villa , we ver told the a/c which are installed are not working ..place is neat and clean .. but room service is pathetic .. food ain’t that good either. pool is full of dry leaves which is not cleaned daily .. there is a fixed time for tea /coffee and they do not budge despite our request. we had to call multiple times for room service and finally they cleaned the villa around 7pm.. this is what we get when we pay 60k for 2 days.

Dirty damaged sofas, overly priced for the facilities extended, kitchen has induction stoves but pots which can’t be used on induction. Common area in villas r not air conditioned . Whoever thought that having a common living area is not used when a Villa is booked? Toaster broken in restaurant . Toilet in reception not maintained well( dirty toilet )

It was a very nice and clean place. They have a big estate and the best thing is it is pet friendly. They have beautiful villa and food was also good. We have booked directly through the hotel and gotten a discount as well as some ainmane which is a coffee place with amazing coffee you can customize and see which is for you.

Situated amidst all the coffee plantation, lies this resort which served the worst coffee ever. Made by someone who cannot tell hot from lukewarm. We changed our order to tea. No luck there either. Terrible taste. The promised ‘free snacks’ with the beverages were Marie Biscuits! We paid for the onion pakoda, which thankfully was decent. We checked into our villa. But the dirt and the many pests had already checked in before us! Pests everywhere. Scrawling on ground, strolling on the bed…gave us the heebie- jeebies😞 Unclean bathrooms, dirty sofas made us decide to just run away someplace far. And we did just that. Got up, left and went to another resort.

This is a lovely hotel. Located on part of a coffee plantation, you are surrounded by trees and birdsong. Great local cooking, I had an excellent foot massage, the staff were friendly and helpful. We did a nice hike up Kotebetta with the retreat's local naturalist. He also does a daily tour of the coffee plantation and gives a great description of all the trees and plants. Lovely swimming pool plus lots of traditional play activities. We had a lovely room overlooking the pool but the villas also looked to be great for large family gatherings. Recommended.

Located bang on the main road you can’t miss this. After getting in there was a surprise waiting for us. The villas were humongous and massive very tastefully decorated and designed ideal for large families Only sore point there was no buffet arrangement food needs to be ordered beforehand rest everything was good Pool is well maintained and so are the villas

This beautiful resort located just 20 Mins away from Madikeri is a perfect spot for all of you who want to experience luxury amidst lush green coffee plantation and more! With amenities such as Massive swimming pool, gaming room with table tennis, foos ball, snooker, carrom and a Gym room for a perfect family outing. Food is absolutely delicious and is prepared fresh to order! You can take a walking tour in the morning ***** with a guide, there's cycles for you to cycle around the property. There's endless things! I would recommend everyone to make this resort your stay next time you're in coorg!

This was a long awaited vacation for our whole family, and Birchwood made it very very special. The full family very comfortably got accommodated in a 3 bhk villa which had two large living rooms and a dining cum kitchen ***** with three oversized bedrooms. The villa was perfect for us and the property was beautiful. Food service is a bit slow, but really good. Would highly recommend this for people traveling in groups or a family.

This place is perfect if you are going as a big family. Each villa can accommodate 8 members. It's a pet friendly hotel so the 4 legged babies do have a wonderful time. We requested them to setup barbecue at our villa and we had a really good time since we had brought marinated food from home. The breakfast spread is good and the staff are friendly. The rooms are very neat and clean. These are non AC villas, but we never felt the need for AC.
