Horizon Eco Resort

What can I say, it was the perfect stay, on such a lovely island. We loved the location, the attention to detail and the excellent service we received from Lori and her team. The food was delicious and made to our requests. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed, we had a lovely balcony with comfortable seating, such a great place to relax. I would recommend this resort , as the perfect stay, for families, couples and solo travelers. Thank you so much.

We had such a wonderful 2 weeks with Lory and her lovely team at Horizon. The accommodation was exactly as we hoped it would be - traditional Thai bungalows with a small balcony area at the front. Mozzie net over the bed, a fan (electricity from approx 7pm to 7am) and bathroom with a cold shower (who needs a hot one in Thailand!). Spotlessly clean and magically re-cleaned every 4 days or so with fresh bed linen and towels. Lory is what makes this place special and you can see that she and her husband have built a lovely team around them. Et and the lads bringing our food in the restaurant, determined to teach us the Thai words for everything! And Lory moving around the restaurant, swopping effortlessly between the 5 languages she speaks as she checks in with everyone. Lory arranged several things for us during our stay - we were able to hitch a ride to check out the turtle nests one morning when the lady from Naucrates came to visit the island. We also did a tour of a few hours to explore the ‘savannah’ area in the back of Lory’s husband’s pickup. We borrowed a kayak and went out to the little islands in the bay. The kitchen very kindly made us a ‘picnic’ of veggie rice and fruit one day when we were going to kayak to the top of the island. Lory also arranged our onward travel - the longtail back to the mainland, a taxi to the bus station, as well as the bus tickets on to our next destination. On an island where there’s no ATM, no high street, no shops, nothing, you really do depend on the people you are staying with. Thank you Lory for making our stay with you so very special. For a long time to come, we are going to be imagining we’re back on the beach as the sun goes down in front of Horizon.
