Lage: top Lage auf Thesen Islands mit Restos und Bars in Laufnähe. Bar / Resto auch im Hotel. ”Gastro Pub” mit happy hour & Livemusic. Thesen Island ist so etwas wie eine V&A Waterfront im mini-Format. Parkplätze vorhanden. Das Hotel befindet sich in einem ehemaligen Kraftwerk, die Maschinen/Rohre/Instrumente sind original belassen aber frisch lackiert, das ganze angereichert durch viel Kunst. Das Interieur ist schon ein Erlebnis an sich. Dazu gibt es einen sehr gepflegten Pool mit Lagunen/Stelzenhäuserblick. Die ganze Anlage vereint perfekt altes Bauwerk und neue Elemente/Anbauten und ist absolut top-gepflegt. Klasse. Zimmer: hatten nach einem upgrade (vielen herzlichen Dank nochmal an die Managerin) die Canal Suite 107 in der Dependance gegenüber. Zimmer im historischen Trakt & Haupthaus haben z.T. keinen Balkon (wie das dennoch wunderschöne kleine Zimmer 110). Suite (ist eigentlich ein Appartement) 107 ist fantastisch. Gross, hell, voll ausgestattete Küche (Grill für draussen vorhanden). Betten top, Design klasse, Bad 1a. Man muss aber wissen, dass man direkt an der belebten kleinen ”foodstall”-Plaza ist. Es ist also es gewisser Geräuschpegel einzukalkulieren. Frühstück: á la carte, top Qualität, waren sehr zufrieden. Service: Absolut sympathisches, angenehm zuvorkommendes und gut geschultes Personal. Management ganz offensichtlich erstklassig. Fazit: Wir empfehlen das ”Turbine” uneingeschränkt für einen Aufenthalt in Knysna.

On our recent road trip we were blessed to came across this gem of a place. The most friendliness staff, beautiful setting, very neat and clean accommodation. Wir feiern vor kurzem meinen 50. Geburtstag an der Butterfly Blu und Brenton Haven. Und was für eine Feier war es! Die Lage war spektakulär, und die Catering war aus dieser Welt. Ab dem ersten Tag war Johlanda und ihr Team extrem organisiert, und die Vorveranstaltungen waren zeitgemäß und von hervorragender Qualität und Standard. Johlanda (und meine Frau) organisierte alles in detail, eine ganze Aufgabe, wenn eine Veranstaltung in Brenton stattfindet und Sie in Polokwane wohnen. Am Tag der Veranstaltung ging alles reibungslos, ohne Hitze überhaupt. Die Lage und das Catering waren 100% Spot-on. Das Barpersonal, das Küchenpersonal und die Wächter (Teenage und sein Team) waren freundlich, schnell und effizient. Es dauert sehr viel für jede Orte, um 50+ perfekt zubereitete Steaks alle zu einer Zeit zu liefern. Kein unserer Gäste hat sich in irgendeiner Weise über irgendeine Nahrung, Getränke oder Service beschwert. Unsere Gäste wurden im Detail behandelt, von Personen mit Allergien bis zu Personen mit anderen Nahrungsmittelvorzugen (Vegetaren und Veganen). Da die meisten Gäste aus anderen Provinzen stammen, nutzten die meisten Gäste auch das Hotel Brenton Haven und wieder einmal war kein einziger Gast in einem der Hotels oder Einrichtungen enttäuscht. Der Gruppenrabatt für Event-Gäste, auch die Unterkunft sehr vernünftig bezahlt und unsere Gäste waren wirklich beeindruckt von sowohl Butterfly Blu Restaurant als auch das Brenton Haven Hotel. Es war eine absolute Freude, meine Feier im Butterfly Blu zu beherbergen und ich empfehle die Verwendung des Butterfly Blu und Brenton Haven für jede Gelegenheit oder Veranstaltung. Wenn ich meine ganze Erfahrung zu werten hatte, werde ich es 10 von 10.
