Our son, and his partner, booked a table for 6 early November for Xmas Eve dinner, on arrival all seemed well and we were shown to our RESERVED! table which was set for food orders! After a few moments we had chosen our meals and proceeded to go to the already busy bar, that was understandable due to the nature of the evening. However, when trying to place said order we were told that the restaurant was only serving hotel residents food orders, after a few discussions back and forth and 2 attempts to order, someone decided to serve us food, we had already spent over £150 on drinks, We have spent a few afternoons and evenings over the past year dining at this establishment and felt utterly chastised at the fact we were NON RESIDENT. Finally after a small piece of persuasion an hour later! We were able to order some food, I won't slate the food as it has always been of a quality standard, but when another table tells you they have your food on their table, then the staff think it's OK to just bring it to your table, even though the other customer is clearly ill with a cold! Said customer then decided to invite himself to ours for dinner as he clearly didn't want to be in here eating his Xmas dinner! Here are some ratings for you! Decor. 100% Staff. 100%(put up with a load of dissatisfied customers) Food 50% (definitely had better) Service 25% (didn't know their **** from their elbow).
