We absolutely love this hotel & we have been visiting many years now. We get a warm welcome every time we visit & Manoli & his team maintain the hotel to a high standard. Rooms are clean & we enjoyed our sea view. Beds & pillows are very comfortable. The buffet breakfast is of good quality & there is a wide selection to suit every taste. We will return.

Does what it says on the tin, the Hotel Hermes is a great base for anyone looking for a beach holiday that isn’t going to break the bank! Closely located to tavernas, shops and the local beach you have everything you need on your doorstep! Pros - *Great Pool *Good Breakfast - buffet with continental and hot options *Stephania was fantastic - recommended an incredible winery tour and informed us of the bus service and how to get there! (Thanks again Stephania!!) Cons- *Very small bathroom and tiny bath with shower over it - difficult to shower it was so small *Rooms/decor/windows/balcony could do with a freshening up *We had a room at the front and noise from the street was very loud, it felt like the windows were open at times - loud traffic/motorbikes from very early disturbed sleep on several occasions *Rooms are only cleaned every 3 days, would be nice to have fresh sheets, towels and bins replaced more often Overall, Hermes is a good place for those who need a base to sleep and shower when exploring the local area/having a beach holiday and the nice breakfast is a bonus!

Wir waren bereits 3 Mal in diesem wunderschönen Hotel, und kommen immer wieder gerne zurück. Das atemberaubende 4* Spilia Village Hotel & Villas befindet sich im malerischen Dorf Spilia, das Dich auf den ersten Blick mit seiner traditionellen kretischen Atmosphäre verzaubern wird. Das Spilia Village Hotel & Villas ist eine einzigartige Unterkunft, die traditionelle und moderne Elemente mit einem luxuriösen Touch kombiniert, der den intensiven Charme einer vergangenen Epoche hervorhebt. Das Hotel und die Villen befinden sich im Zentrum eines authentischen kretischen Dorfes, das seine traditionellen architektonischen Elemente seit mehr als 400 Jahren beibehalten hat. Es ist von Olivenhainen und Weinbergen umgeben. Gleichzeitig weht der Duft der allgegenwärtigen Orangen und Zitronen durch die Luft. Wir waren in einer Suite und auch in der Villa unterbracht, und alles war perfekt. In der Villa findest Du auch eine voll ausgestattete offene Küche mit einem großen Esstisch. Und der private Swimmingpool ist einfach ein Traum. Wir haben die Halbpension gebucht, und es war die beste Entscheidung! Zum Frühstück gab es Joghurt und Honig aus der Region, Müsli und Granola, Nüsse, frisches Sommerobst und Gemüse, gekochte Eier und Rührei, Speck, Würstchen und süße Kuchen sowie verschiedenen warmen Brotsorten, Gebäck und Croissants, alles frisch gebacken. Das dreigängige Abendessen war auch ein Traum! Alles sorgfältig mit lokalen, saisonalen Produkten zubereitet und auf moderne Art und Weise in einer einzigartigen Umgebung serviert. Und die Weine verdienen einen eigenen Beitrag! Ausgezeichnet und für die echten Weinliebhaber geeignet. Zudem hat das Hotel eine sehr günstige Lage, es liegt im Westen Kretas und ist damit ideal für alle, die die Lagune von Balos, die Insel Gramvousa, den Strand von Elafonissi, Falassarna und viele andere bekannte Sehenswürdigkeiten wie die Stadt Chania besuchen möchten. Und wenn Du Dein Tag aktiv anfangen möchtest, wie wir, in der Umgebung gibt es viele Laufmöglichkeiten, unter den Oliven- und Zitrusbäumen. Kreta ist unsere griechische Lieblingsinsel, und wenn wir nur einen Ort in Griechenland empfehlen müssten, dann wäre es Kreta! Und wenn wir nur ein Hotel in Kreta empfehlen müssten, dann wäre es Spilia Village Hotel & Villas! Vielen herzlichen Dank an Alle!

We stayed here as a couple in June for 5nights. The pool area, public areas and gardens are immaculate! We stayed in room : apartment 51 which was at the top of 4 steep flights of stairs (not good if you’ve got mobility issues!!) We were slightly disappointed when we entered there was a strong musty smell, although the walls had been painted, the kitchen area was tired, with scrapes and small chunks missing on the worktops. It looked grubby and shabby. There was also no kettle which meant we ended up having to buy one at the local supermarket!! When I mentioned this to the lady on reception, she said that they don’t leave them in the rooms, you have to go ask her as they don’t leave them in the rooms. I’ve never heard of that before !!! And it certainly didn’t cross my mind to ask at reception when it was an apartment with equipped kitchenette that we’d booked. Rare to have a hot shower and the bathroom was shocking. The bath was rusty, stained and made me not want to step into it. We were told that the rooms / apartments were undergoing renovations and we assumed they hadn’t visited 51 as yet. It also lacked patio furniture out the front. That would have been a nice touch. Views were absolutely stunning over the town, harbour and sea from Upstairs. The bar and pool are owned by/ run separately from the hotel and the food / drinks were lovely. Pool immaculately clean and maintained. Overall, a relaxing short stay (if you overlook the tiredness of our apartment)
