Mirtilos Studios & Apartments

Stayed 3 nights, in a spacious, comfortable, clean, ground floor apartment, good air con. Spacious terrace to sit out on. Decor inside of its era. Easy parking adjacent to hotel. Good sized pool, however , there is a strict enforced no access until 10am, a bit disappointing if you are an early morning swimmer. The Pool area was quiet during our stay perhaps guests were more beach goers. Large lawned area with plenty of shade from trees should umbrellas be unavailable . We did not eat here, the only folk we saw eating here was for breakfast. There are plenty of excellent places to eat within a very short walk and rooms have self catering options. The staff were pleasant, unobtrusive, spoke English and were accommodating. If in the area again we would return.

We called late in the evening for a booking, however, the employee could not speak a word of English. Ok, can happen, was already sown. Then we called the next morning at 10 am and we were firmly promised the room and the price, we should only send an email for confirmation. Based on this firm promise, we booked the flight. That have then written an email, however, when no answer came, I called again. The lady said that everything was fine, in 1 hour at the latest we will receive the confirmation email for the previously booked room. I had told the lady again that we had already booked the flight for over 1,000.00 euros and we would now still wait for the written confirmation of the hotel booking by phone of the hotel MIRTILOS studios and apartments. After 1 hour we have then actually received an email, but with the following content: "(...) Now ,we do not have availability for the dates that you mentioned, as the price was valid as long as there is availability and now we do not have anymore because the rooms are sold to somebody else. (...)" As the other negative comments already write: The manager is ONLY concerned about MONEY in this hotel!!!! They totally don't care about the guests who trusted the statement of the receptionist and already booked the flight for over 1.000,00 Euro. This flight could NOT be canceled. Even if you could not possibly bring this case to court (because we have made no records of the phone call) - for me this is a deeply immoral and unethical behavior!

Stayed for 1 night in May. Check in was easy, receptionist was very polite and spoke perfect English. Room was very spacious and very clean. Bedding very crisp and fresh. Bathroom very clean and Shower worked well. Great location with plenty of places to eat and drink. Would recommend this hotel.

we have spent one really nice week in this lovely place. The first time we decided to try something different from "all-inclusive" and we found it is possible :) Thank you for the friendly staff at Mitrilos Hotel. very nice place, wonderful pool: deep and big enough to enjoy swimming, seems 25x8 m and 1,5 deep; great room condition and service, very friendly, helpful and supportive staff, you may come to them with any question and be sure they will do every possible to try to help you even if it is not directly in their responsibility. If you don't like the local beach (150m from the hotel), and have a car - very easy and convenient to get to lovely Elafonissi or Falasarna - where you can enjoy not only the beach itself but also breathtaking views of the road, mountains, and areas around. You can take a boat and visit Balos, but we didn't, considering all day long spent in Elafonissi is some sort of equal :)
