The staff were all really cheerful and helpful, particularly Kimberly, however the manageress Missy never introduced herself although we did see her in the pub and she had been contacted about our change of room. The USB sockets in the plug were a good idea but unless you had a long lead there was nowhere to rest the items plugged in. The location was good although there was no onsite parking it was easy to park in the street outside this may have been different in peak season. The room was clean enough. Disliked · We were initially in room 6 but when I sat on the bed I could feel the base beneath the mattress so we asked if we could change and were given room 7 which was a bit better. The radiator in the bathroom didn't work and when we asked about this we were told something about it being switched off as it drained all the heat which I didn't really understand and as our stay was in November on one night the temperature was 1 degree. It is an old building but the condensation on the window in the morning was unbelievable. The blind didn't fully cover the window so light came into the room and we were on a higher floor so no shutters. The fluffy towels needed to be tumble dried to be fluffy so they weren't as per the description. Tried to wash my hair one afternoon at 1630 but no hot water. The food was OK but not fantastic, there appeared to be two menus but we were only shown one, we were on DBB. The breakfast was OK but would have liked some fruit or compote to mix with the yoghurt, no granola just muesli this is personal preference. One evening we went downstairs at 930 pm to get another drink and the bar was in complete darkness, they hadn't warned us that they close early if no customers.
