This was our 3rd Christmas spending 4 days at Platos and definitely the best yet. The whole set up is lovely from arrival to departure. The friendly greeting, being shown our room, settling in. Such a lovely atmosphere. It is so well situated making it easy to enjoy the river walks , shopping in the lovely independent shops and to enjoy great food. The Christmas meal was something else. The canapés in the bar area beforehand created a happy, bubbly, buzz that lasted through the rest of the delicious meal. The portion sizes were good making it possible to enjoy every course and not flag part way through! Presentation was beautiful. Can't wait for the next visit

Well appointed, warm and comfortable, perfect location with great quality and variety of food and drink. All topped off by super-friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure every aspect of our break was catered for excellently. Happy to recommend and we will visit again!

We had a great stay at your hotel, with good food and very attentive staff. The position of the hotel is perfect to explore the area and the village. Parking is free presently in the village so we parked easily and reasonably close, but can’t comment on the Carpark that is usually reserved by the hotel. Highly recommended 👍

Wonderful stay once again and great hosting by Tony, Jess and the team as always. KL is always busy on Christmas Market weekend and the bar and restauraunt were packed out but staff handled it all superbly well. Food was super, room was excellent and the hotel location is perfect We will be back March!

Went for drinks in the evening also went for Sunday afternoon Live Music. This is a family owned Hotel with a lovely atmosphere & friendly staff. Highly recommended by us all. We will definitely be back again probably for the Christmas markets in December.

excellent all round stay and the meal in the restaurant was superb Slight niggle is the breakfast offer is very limited with only granola and fruit juice . the choice of hot dishes is very varied but unless someone wants a cooked breakfast it is limited but again the quality of food was excellent

If you like al dente vegetables then this may be the place for you. For me, as an old fogie hard cauli, carrots etc are not my scene. Plenty of meat, nice potatoes & mash too. Lots to like, a few niggles to moan about, but nice place, good service but I don't see a second visit anytime soon.

Advise you not to do an overnight stay on a Friday night unless in a party mood. Live music between 8pm and 10pm followed by loud music and party atmosphere at the bar until midnight.Little chance of any sleep before midnight as the noise is heard in the bedrooms. Had we known we would have booked other place to stay.

Lovely place, great bed and best pillows for a long while - staff are brilliant and most of all pleasant ..... unlike the Sun Hotel in same town. Good food, good breakfast - if you are in Kirkby Lonsdale don't stay anywhere else for value and just a great place.
