The Scots Hotel

"We just returned home from Israel where we spent three nights of our trip a the Scots Hotel in Tiberias. It's a beautiful historic property with several separate stone buildings. Our room itself didn't have a view of the sea but the hotel is situated right across the street from the Galilee so every time you walk out onto the lushly landscaped grounds you can admire the view of the sea. The pool area is gorgeous as well. Across the street there is also a promenade you can walk on with some shops, etc. We stayed in the building called "Doctor's House" on the second floor. It was so pretty and sweetly decorated in accordance with the style of the time (a comfy four-poster king bed, hardwood furniture, a divan and table as well as a desk). There's a Nespresso machine in the room as well as a filtered drinking water machine that dispenses hot and cold water. The bathroom was nice and spacious. We really enjoyed the included breakfast and dinner buffet every day which was quite excellent. There was a huge variety of food and everything was delicious. The dining area was spacious and tranquil. We only encountered a larger tour group on one night of our stay. The rest of our time there we only only saw independent travelers. Even on the night that the larger group was there, it wasn't too crowded. There are three large seating areas. Service was always professional and friendly, from the front desk to housekeeping to the bellmen. Everything was as it should be. We really loved our time at The Scots. We're very glad to have stayed there as we had heard from friends that there are not very many nice hotels in the Galilee area. This one was perfect and we would definitely recommend!"

King Solomon Hotel Tiberias

"Einige Teile werden noch renoviert. Personal sind extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Groß für Familien. Großes Frühstück. Nicht großartige Parkplätze, aber Sie können in der Regel auf der Straße finden. Echt schöner Pool und dies ist ein ausgezeichneter Ort für Familien."

"This is not really an hotel as such. There is no reception but as long as they know when you are arriving, someone will be available to let you in and show you the ropes. My room was en-suite with a reasonably comfortable bed. Although clean, some rather suspicious looking stains hadn't quite washed out of the sheets and the towels and curtains were a bit threadbare. The floor is advertised on the hotel site as "parquet" but is actually lino with a sort of wood pattern printed on it. Probably easier to keep clean than carpet but not wood, nevertheless. Once you are there, you will find them very friendly a helpful. Even for the one night that I stayed there, there was a bottle of wine, a fruit basket and a couple of large mineral water bottles in the small fridge. There is also a kettle and stuff for making tea and coffee. Breakfast is served at another hotel, about 10 minutes walk away, near the lake (Kineret). I can't comment on the breakfast as I had to leave early so didn't try it. Good fast free wi-fi. Rooms have a/c and satellite TV."

Sofia Hotel Sea of Galilee

"We stayed here for 3 days on a half board basis. The check in process was seamless. Our room was quite spacious but cleanliness was not up to the mark. I found floss, and a couple small items under the sink. Our used coffee cups were not rinsed and used glasses were not taken away. We had to place these outside the room after which they were cleared. Breakfast buffet had plenty of selections and variety. Dinner offering was limited on couple days due to Passover. Property has adult pool and kiddie pools with great views of the Sea of Galilee. Roof top bar offers great views of the city."

Gai Beach Hotel

"The food, the staff, the rooms, the beautiful view, is all worth staying here again. This is my second time, and I would stay here again. If I were to write a complaint about this hotel… It would be that there was no sugar, free items for a diabetic to eat."

Royal Plaza Hotel

"I arrived at this hotel late in the afternoon on 09/05/23 for a 2-night stay and there was NO reservation for me, despite it being confirmed by the agency when I left Brazil. According to the agency, the error was the hotel's, since other people in the group were able to stay. It's a lack of respect and responsibility for a guest who travels the world, pays more to travel alone, and arrives at the place and has nowhere to sleep."

"hi i stayed at your hotel this past Shabbos and had the worst experience i ever had in a hotel.please understand that for anyone living in a decent normal apartment staying in you hotel is a downgrade in every way imaginable the rooms are small stuffy and uglythe beds are the source of an instant backache the pillows or marshmallows are a source of a 3 day migraine headachehow could anyone call this a vacationthe hospital in which my wife gave birth in had very similar accommodations"

"Das ist ein schöner Ort entfernt von den großen, unpersönlichen Hotels, die Gruppentouren betreuen. Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer mit Balkon und privatem Bad. Unser Gastgeber David war großartig. Er gab uns Tee und einen Snack von Terminen bei der Ankunft und beantwortete Fragen über unsere Reise. Ich liebte den Kaffeeboot, der jeden Morgen auf uns wartete. Es war Parkplatz hinter dem Haus es war etwa 15 Minuten zu Fuß zum Stadtzentrum. Ich empfehle das israelische Frühstück. Es war gesund und wunderbar!"
