How wonderful to find on line a guest house that lives up to it's promise and reputation. We booked in on a Friday and stayed till Sunday whilst attending a family wedding. Yvonne and Steve could not have been more welcoming, the rooms, all en suite were spotless and well appointed. On Saturday we were offered Arnold Bennett omelletes for Sunday breakfast, the ladies had these which were fabulous and the Scottish breakfast the men had were really delicious with local produce and freshly cooked. If you ever need a guest house to stay in whilst in Kinghorn or Burntisland you would not find a better one than The Cardinals Folly.

A lovely warm welcome from Yvonne at the cardinals folly a lovely bed and breakfast very clean and cosy room breakfast superb lovely host very friendly even offered us a lift to the station. Would definitely recommend and will stay again when visiting the area

After 21 miles of walking our reception couldn't have been kinder, warmer, more helpful or less intrusive. A cheerful welcome throughout our stay and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were comfortable, smart and well supplied. Helpful tips for local amenities and a very nice communal guests' living room where we were supplied with glasses and plates for a well recommended take away. Lovely breakfast and a friendly send off. Great place to stay.

I stayed one night here whilst walking part of the Fife Coastal Path - and it was really wonderful, I would highly recommend. The building is full of character and history, but is now so tastefully decorated and is absolutely spotless. Yvonne was incredibly welcoming and we had lovely conversation. They have thought of everything, but no other request was too much. I don't eat meat or dairy which curtails breakfast options but Yvonne went out of her way to find something suitable - and the breakfast was 10/10. I stayed in the Islands room and it was like an oasis of calm, and the bed is incredibly comfy. This is a warm, welcoming, professional B&B that has really had thought put into it - you couldn't ask for more.

From enquiring to booking to arrival and then departure communication from the owners was excellent. A friendly welcome on arrival with off street parking a bonus. An exceptionally clean guesthouse in all areas with plenty of thought gone into what a guest would need. The guest lounge a nice touch and with plenty of extra tea coffee and biscuits on offer makes you feel as though you werent begging. The breakfast with plenty of choice and no cheap brands on offer with a very tasty full scottish cooked to order breakfast delivered on hot plates. Both Yvonne and Stephen go above and beyond and we look forward to our next stay.

Lovely converted church and the proprietors are very friendly and welcoming. Food was lovely, and was presented with great care. The room was fine, too, with shampoo, shower gel and conditioner all provided. Lots of drawers and hanging space. Light and airy, with a view of the sea. There was a great little booklet in room which provided lots of information on local amenities, places to eat etc. Easy access for parking. Will definitely be coming back!

An excellent B&B with gracious and very friendly hosts! We had a fabulous stay at Yvonne's place -- enjoyed walking around to nearby spots - including the Auld Hoose tavern nearby. Good parking, good location, clean and well-appointed rooms. Delicious breakfast - highly recommend staying at Cardinal's Folly!

Great wee bed and breakfast. Was up to play pool at Pettercur Bay caravan park. After arriving and asking to book a taxi,the owner says don't bother and drove me to venue. Even stopping at local coop so I could get supplies for my room. Woke up in morning to a freshly cooked breakfast. Room Was spotless and nothing was to much.
