The hotel is old , the room (3 beds +Sofa, ), bathroom are old . Clean though . No room service even after a call , still didn’t happen. Had to change two blankets as there was stain on them Staff are polite and friendly but short staff. Food not great and expensive, even though multiple eatery . Dont rely on ski shop but great resource for last minute or missed ski stuff. Snow and ski is unbeatable . Even with all the issues , if they could at least improve the room service it would have been 4.5-5 star.

Japan is one of a very small number of countries where I consider hostel-style accommodations. The Grand Cabin Rusutsu did not disappoint. I stayed in their shared room, in the style of a simple capsule hotel, with shared bathrooms and other facilities (there are also 'private' rooms but I believe they all share the common facilities). The capsule is quite private, with your own individual blind, a light, one 110V and one USB (A) socket; see attached photo. Shared facilties are impeccably clean (no idea how they do that). Surprisingly, although I was in a room with 19 other people, everybody was extremely polite and considerate. Most of the time you barely heard that there were other people around. The staff is very nice and friendly. Shuttle goes 3 times in the morning to Rusutsu resort (8,9,10am) and back 3 times back (I always took the first one, at 4pm, not sure about the other times). The Lawson conbini 2 minutes away is super convenient for food etc. There is a restaurant on the first floor which is open to the public. This is the 'grill your own meat' style. I tried it once and it was OK. I was the oldest guest (by quite a margin) but I did not feel out of place. Had nice conversations with some of the others, about half from Asia (various countries) and the other half Westerners (Aussies, Canadians and a single American). Costwise, it is an enormous bargain compared to the Resort itself. In particular of course for solo travelers. If I come back to Rusutsu I will for sure stay there again!

Das Wohnzimmer mit zwei Betten, es gibt in der Tat vier Betten, die vier Personen schlafen können. Das Hotel ist sehr neu und sauber. Die Schneeplatte ist speziell mit einem Platz ausgestattet. Das Bad ist im großen Casino vereint, und das Bad ist öffentlich, alles ist sehr sauber und sehr sauber. Die öffentliche Gegend um 12 Uhr ist auch sehr heiß. Die Tür des Hotels ist die Busbahnhof und der Supermarkt, und der Rosen-Bequeme-Shop. Die Supermarkt-Fischerei ist günstig und die Türbahn ist direkt in den kleinen Teppich. Wir kommen auch direkt zum Hotel von der Skiplatz-Reserve, und wir kommen immer wieder zum Snowfield II. Es ist sehr bequem.

Wir haben eine Woche in der Villa Rusutsu über den Weihnachtszeiten geblieben. Die Kabinen befinden sich etwa 1.5km aus den beiden Hauptskifeldern in Rusutsu, mit kostenlosen Transfers am Morgen, spät nachmittag und Nacht. Die Villas selbst sind charmant Cedar-Kabinen, ziemlich geräumig, und mit viel Heizung. Betten sind komfortabel, Wassertemperatur und Druck ist groß, und es gibt viele Licht. Das einzige, was man wissen muss, ist, dass die Kabinen ”duplex-Stil” sind, d.h. es gibt eine gemeinsame Wand, die Sie von Ihren Nachbarn trennen. Klang *sehr* leicht durch die Wände, so beachten Sie Ihren Lärm in der Nacht, verpacken einige Ohrschneider, Und hoffentlich sind Sie mit ähnlichen Reisenden (z.B. Familien neben Familien, junge Menschen neben jungen Menschen usw.) vereinigt. Neben den Kabinen gibt es eine Hauptunterkünfte und ein Sento (öffentliches Bad). Das Bad ist groß, heiß und schön. Alles war immer spotless, was kein gemeines Feat mit einem kleinen Personal und Schnee überall ist! Frühstück ist in die Unterkunftskosten eingeschlossen und ist ein kleines, aber leckeres kontinentales Buffet und eine heiße Auswahl von westlichen oder japanischen Style. Sie können auch vorbestellen Abendessen aus den Restaurants, die japanischen Stil heiße Körner sind. Diese sind groß, und sehr lecker. Essen im Ganzen war fantastisch, und die Bar ist auch vernünftig bezahlt. Der Fokus von Villa Rusutsu ist das Personal. Monique, Alex, Sherry, Ryoji-san und andere sind so freundlich und hilfreich. Nichts war für das Personal je ein Problem, sie waren reaktiv und freundlich, froh, Tipps und Restaurantbuchungen zu machen. Es ist wirklich schön, zu fühlen, dass Sie auf Mitarbeiter zu helfen können, und sie wirklich halfen, die Reise zu machen.

　Go Toキャンペーンが延期となり、札幌近くで静かに年末年始を過ごせるホテルとしてこちらにしました。 　洞爺湖温泉の湖を挟んでほぼ反対側にありますから、本当に静かに寛げました。周辺にはコンビニも一軒だけしかなく、観光客もほとんどいません。 　だからこそ新年の初日の出を部屋風呂から見たいと考えたのも理由の一つでした。 　今年は数十年ぶりの寒波が来ており、札幌も吹雪のようでした。太平洋側に近い洞爺湖で、雲が流れましたが、私は大浴場の露天風呂から初日の出を見ることができました。 　TripAdvisorでのホテルの口コミによると部屋付き露天風呂で、評価が分かれていました。確かに外から見えますが、まず人のいない寒村ということ、湯着が用意してあることで大丈夫かと思います。それよりも寒気の夜に冷たい月を眺めながらの入浴は別格の気分を味わえました。 　海外資本のホテルなので、日本の温泉ホテルとは違うことを予め理解しておくと、リラックスできて素晴らしいです。来年の年越しもここで過ごしたいと考えています。 良い点：①スタッフのホスピタリティー、日本人スタッフが増え、適度な距離感が素晴らしく感じました。私たちは2泊しましたが、スタッフの気持ちの伝わる言葉かけに気持ちが和らぎました。 ②食事はディナー2泊とも和食でした。出汁のきいた味がとても美味しかったです。メインの道産牛は昨年秋にニセコヒルトンでいただいたものと同レベルの美味しさでした。札幌の円山近辺だと10,000円前後のコースに値します。 　朝食バイキングはるほどです。 ③大浴場の大きな窓と湯温のぬるさが、のんびりと洞爺湖の風景を楽しめました。 ④冬だとニセコにもルスツにも近い(冬の中山峠はスリップ事故が恐いので)です。どちらもスキーシーズンに2食付きでこの値段では、泊まれないです。 改善点：①大浴場へ行くには、一度、屋外に出るのと脱衣場が寒かったです。寒波のせいもあるでしょうが、吹雪いた夜に浴衣は厳しいです。 ②北海道の温泉ホテルに多いのが、レストランもスリッパ可という点はいかがでしょうか？浴衣で行きたいという方もいらっしゃるでしょうが、ディナーはせっかくの雰囲気が残念です。 このクラスのシティホテルでは、あり得ないのでしょうから。 ③部屋のレイアウトとして、ベッドの前に洗面台があるのは、日本人は慣れないかもしれません。特に私たちはトリプルベッドでしたので、冬の連泊だとスキーウェアでクローゼットも小さいことから手狭でした。 　それでも総じて、食事、温泉、レストランやバー、スタッフのホスピタリティーと再訪したいリーズナブルなディナーズ・ホテルです。

Nice hotel with convenient ski-in/ski-out access. There are many rooms in the hotel but nevertheless, the staff (reception, house keeping, etc) managed to maintain good level of service throughout my stay. Buffet breakfast had large selection of food. Shuttle buses to Hirafu/Kutchan start from this hotel, so no worries about not having seats. The buses were also quite frequent. There is a new Niseko Village shop area behind the hotel that houses few retail shops and restaurants, offering more options for food now, rather than just the what's in the hotel.

Wir blieben in einer 2-Zimmer-Wohnung und fanden es sehr komfortabel. Die Zimmer waren sehr groß, vor allem angesichts der Tatsache, dass es Japan ist (wo die Zimmer typisch sehr klein sind), die Betten komfortabel und es war großartig, eine Küche und Waschmaschine in der apt. Auch die Lage ist großartig - sehr nahe dem Hauptzug, den Lebensmittelwagen und dem kostenlosen Shuttle, um uns zu/von der Haupthirafu Lift/Gondola zu bringen. Personal alle sehr freundlich und hilfreich auch! Allerdings beachten Sie, dass es nur 2 von uns gab. Wenn Sie mehr Menschen waren oder Kinder, dann war das Wohnzimmer ein wenig klein.

Love this hotel from the moment I stepped in, gorgeous ambience, great service at reception! Room is expensive for one person stay but worth every penny. Regardless how long your stay is, one room entitled to one time free usage of private onsen (after that is charged) for 45mins. There is free public onsen beside it. Yoga classes are available for sign up for fee. Ski shop Rhythm and Afuri ramen looks great but I didn’t get a chance to visit. Ski storage available but not practical esp for those who rent, as you need to carry the heavy equipment back and forth from ski base to hotel (10min up-downhill walk or take free shuttle). Apt style hotel is well equipped with fridge, microwave, sink, washing machine-dryer, dishwashing machine. Breakfast is great! Toilet and room is spacious and bed is good. I would return!!! Best recommended for families esp those with mix interest besides ski/snowboard. Near to street side restaurants, Lawson is across.

Nice stylish condo-styled hotel with full in room facilities (cooking, washing machines, dryer etc) which is really gd for long stay. Suites are big & spacious, awesomely clean & superd decor. Onsen is decent & gd for a quick dip but a little small if compared to noborebetsu ones. Ski area is outstanding with ample storage for ski gear. Truly ski in/ski out resort if u can ski wel as you can hit the slopes once you're all geared up. For beginner, u hv to carry your ski gear & walk down the slopes or walk indoor cutting thru the connected walkway to the main rusutsu hotel. Conclusion, will love to stay here again & for longer duration...😀

Hotel fill with activities for all ages. We went in a big family group of 14 pax ranging from age 9 till 80 and everyone loved Toya Sun Palace. Kids and teens enjoyed the wave pool in the water park where there were Stingray and Flamingo buoys to use free of charge and during the time of our stay there were 6 slides opened. However there was additional one bigger slide which required to pay a 500 yen extra if we’d like to use and they would give us a 4-6 pax buoy to slide down and this 500 yen extra was for 50 minutes. The place that our 6 kids (9-18 years old) enjoyed the most was the Game Center Arcade with variety of games for everyone. A big thank to the Japanese man who was on duty the night of our stay (12/4/2023), he was very kind and very generous and because of him we had the best experience ever in playing games at the game arcade. Sorry we didn’t catch his name. The onsen here was very good especially the outdoor onsen where we could enjoy the onsen while over looking at the beautiful Lake Toya. We stayed in both a Japanese Modern and a Western Modern and the only difference between them was the Tatami vs Carpet floors. Rooms were standard Japanese style room and were big enough for 3 in each room. Dinner buffet was good with an all you can eat Hagandaz ice cream and we all loved there Japanese steam eeg (ไข่ตุ๋น). And for breakfast buffet the food was ok for me since they didn’t provide yoghurt and not many varieties of vegetables salads however we were stunned by the beauty of Lake Toya scenery. Anyway my son and daughter loved Toya Sun Palace so much that they wish to visit again soon. We really enjoyed onsen and the Game Center plus a Ping Pong room so much and it was an unforgettable experience for all of us. Thank you Toya Sun Palace ❤️
