The Four Boutique Hotel

We are glad that we stayed in this hotel. Everything was great. The hotel was impeccably clean. Our room was clean and we had everything we needed in the room. The buffet table in the restaurant during breakfast and dinner had a larger selection of food. We are vegetarians, which the kitchen staff took great care of and provided us with the delicious food. The staff were the best part of the hotel service - they definitely deserve 5 stars for their work. All the hotel employees were always smiling. We felt that there was not only a professional host-client relationship - we were treated with the highest level of respect and benevolence. Thank you for everything!

Had a great stay at the hotel despite being at the hotel during the offseason (and being the only guest at that hotel for one night!) Dinner and breakfast was provided and was quite tasty. Staff were very nice and helped me set up the heater in my room safely! Overall, great experience!

I say almost all hotels in Bhutan have amazing staff service, Four Boutique Hotel is the same. Please note that there is no elevator here, but they have amazing staff (even female staff) who can carry your heavy luggage (mine was about 20kg) to the 3rd floor fast. Staff in the restaurant were also very kind to help me with my food choices (I needed egg or more meat at one point). Great view of the river. I am not so sure re: location as I'm always with my tour guides but I do know this is quite close to Punakha Dzong/Fortress. I, unfortunately, was lodged in a twin room - though I'm by myself - but room is comfy with heater (I was there winter so this one was really helpful).

It has an amazing river view and it's near to the Punakha town. Going to the river bed and having snacks at the cafe it's just a 5-minute walk. Overall the hotel has decent rooms with heaters and other amenities and the hotel staff is also nice. They serve a good multi-cuisine breakfast but the time taken for the ala-carte and room service is not that great. They should also improve the WiFi connection because the moment the number of guests increases the WiFi has connection issues. Overall a good hotel for a couple of days.

This is a comfortable hotel situated across the river from Punakha town. We were given a heater in the room to keep us warm as it was winter when we were there. The room was comfortable - there was a strange layout in the bathroom in that the shower floor area came through in front of the toilet so that if you'd had a shower and wanted to use the toilet the area in front of you would be wet.

Nice modern hotel over looking river and Punakha town is a good option to stay at Punakha. Rooms are small but very comfortable. Services are little slow. We face water problems in some rooms. Food was good but they could not handle big group like ours properly. Over all it’s a pleasant stay for us.

The view is amazing and the staff helpful and gracious. There were lots of issues though. Booked a room with 1 bed, there were 2 twin beds, no elevator so lots of stairs, the phone and wifi didn’t work in room, couldn’t easily order room service or request changes or report issues because phone didn’t work. There were roaches in the bathroom, the towels didn’t smell or feel fresh and the sheets were stained and holes. There were ants crawling on the table at breakfast.

The first thing which catches your eye as you enter the hotel, is the river view and clear vistas of the Punakha valley. The place is close to the town streets, and walkable [You need to cross across a metal bridge along with vehicle traffic]. The rooms are very modern and have modern amenities and pleasant looking furniture. They have a very good seating arrangement right next to the long windows, which give a very good view of the rivers. The washrooms are good, however a little cramped for space. The shower area is very cramped and attached to the commode/flush toilet. This leaves the facility wet when someone takes a shower. The dining area and the food were one of the best parts of this place. The food looked and tasted of high quality, and dishes were chosen such that people of all nationalities have something for them in the buffet. People who are specifically looking for Indian food might not like the setup too much, due to limited number of Indian dishes at the buffer. but whatever Indian they served was of good taste and quality. Pros The views, they have a good spot on the riverside. Excellent food, both quality and choices. Rooms with modern decor and amenities Cons. Many items on the buffet were made to order, but were not announced clearly when we enter the food place, It would be a lot better if they tell people or put up a notice which says which items are part of the buffet, but made to order. The staff can be a little more friendly
