Good size rooms with all the in room facilities that you could need and in a great location to everywhere, the room was very clean, accommodating staff. comfort bed.

At first glance room looks neat and tidy
However waking up in the middle of the night getting eaten alive by bed bugs, would not recommend or stay there again

Secure free parking which is main reason I was after, great location with all cafes shops around.

I went into room, grabbed a drink and walked to bench & sink area and two small cockroaches appeared on the bench
Not impressed felt like a dirty room after that

MVV Motel & Comfy Kew Apartments is name on ***********. The recent reviews indicate this has place has vastly improved in the last few months - people aren’t posting on this forum - because they couldn’t find it under the new name? 🤔 😬 Pros: 1. Walking distance to St Vincent private hospital - our reason for trip 2.undercover secure parking in basement 3.clean 4.Friendly, helpful staff - offered to carry bags up the stairs and replaced shower head within a few minutes when it fell off. Also provided towels promptly when requested. 5.restaurants a short walk away 6.Clean Comfortable bed 7.Split system aircon 8. 20 min walk away from studley park boat house and walking track Cons: 1. Road noise quite loud and corridor noise 2.Very outdated decor 3.Bed sandwiched between front door and toilet 4.Small bathroom area enclosed in opaque glass that you can see through - yes someone on toilet! No shelving in shower to put any bottles. Quirky shower tap situation coming out of a stan 5.Fridge door opens opposite to cupboard door - restricted access. Frankly, It’s the type of room you only want to sleep in. If you want somewhere clean and decor or desperate need for maintenance/updating doesn’t bother you then this would be suitable. It’s not for me and I wouldn’t choose to return.

The stay itself was fine, however I'm 90% sure my contact information has been sold to scammers. On the day of arrival I was sent a text from the property. In that text my name was spelled incorrectly. Since that day I've been getting spam emails with the exact same misspelling of my name!

Great place to stay in Melbourne - I was stayed for a week in early Jan '23 - easy access to public transport and 15 minutes to the City. Room clean, bed very comfortable, and clean, nice bathroom, and facilities great - will stay there again!

Let’s start with undisclosed surcharges, followed by unauthorised charges to credit card (twice) moving on to the receptionist on arrival….then the only access to any floor being very steep stairs (about 210mm risers and 250mm goings) - try lugging a suitcase up to the top floor (no elevator)…I walked into room to be greeted by a horrid smell, the bathroom is a combined shower and toilet at 98cm wide and 245cm long with frosted glass sliding door/wall that you can see colours and shapes through - no privacy and being so small water everywhere (no extraction fan so dripping, fogged up mirror as well). Advertised “garden view” is a construction site right next door about 5m away, combined with construction noise and workers speaking loudly in not-English from 6am every morning (except Sunday). I accept that MVV can’t control there is a construction site - but there’s no garden view. As much as I look there is not a single bit of green or even dirt to be seen do I don’t know where this garden view is… I was travelling with my 12 year old so had the room with fold out couch - which did fold out but no linen provided - thankfully I thought to throw a sleeping bag, pillow and some towels in the car before coming down - they were all most definitely needed. The fold out couch was hard, broken and couldn’t be slept on as it was just too uncomfortable. The water in the shower has a 10cm diameter span - you need to keep spinning around to get front and back wet. It is consistently hot though. Move on to day 5 of a 9 day stay and the manager knocks on my door saying they need 5 hours access to my room to replace the air con that is leaking (ahhh so that’s the gross smell - sopping wet walls and carpet that have been wet a very long time). I said “no I don’t want anyone into the room I am paying for my access to” and I was told I am unreasonable and to leave the next day. One minute after I called Consumer Affairs/VCAT the manager knocks and says “you stay I rescheduled” - when 5 min earlier he told me it could not be rescheduled and I was unreasonable. I do wonder why one minute after I mention VCAT (in the closed room) he changed his mind… Partway through our stay the access to the building and carpark was changed from card access to a PIN - as a guest we were not notified of the PIN to be able to actually access the building. The first night of the new system there was a handwritten note with the PIN on it - thankfully we remembered because the next day the note was gone and still 3 days later we hadn’t been notified on the PIN to be able to access the carpark or even building after hours. Also - the room is not made up daily like a normal motel, you are given one bath towel that is to last your entire stay. I had to also not only clean the room on leaving but empty the rubbish bin downstairs in the outside hopper. For the amount of money paid for this place I am totally gobsmacked at this. On my last day I stripped the bed to find 3 bottom sheets

Our family stayed there for two nights and we are not going back ever again. Not worth the price paid for. Requested service for the second day and that never happened. There was not enough room and it was difficult to get into the toilet with the king bed in the way. The sofa bed was average and when used, you literally had to walk over the beds to move around the room.

The room had rubbish left in it from previous guest. The yellow stained bed quilt had no cover and the top bed sheet was placed on top to hide the fact. So implication is to sleep under an uncovered dooner. The bathroom had no soap (neither did the kitchen). When I phoned to complain about the facility after leaving for work early in the morning, the manager indicated that this was all perfectly normal and fine and 'business as usual'. Really do not stay here. I would have left and found alternative accommodation if it wasn't so late at night.
