Wir begannen und feinsten unsere Linienwand von hier, wir hatten 2 4 Schlafzimmer und unser Balkon mit Blick auf den Fluss,Check-in war schnell und einfach und wir alle in den Zimmern gebündelt, bevor wir ein Bier in der Bar/Essenbereich hatten, Die Zimmer sind komfortabel mit ausreichend Platz für Kit und die Betten obwohl bunk Betten sind gut gemacht und robust, Unser Zimmer hatte ein Toilette und Dusche mit einem Tauch im Schlafbereich,oneroblem wir hatten war das WC nie richtig gefüllt und das wurde an die Rezeption berichtet, Die Das Hostel ist beliebt und als wir dort waren eine Gruppe von 50 Studenten waren auch da, aber das Personal war groß beim Service entweder Bier oder Frühstück am Morgen. Es ist ein toller Ort, um mit seiner ausgezeichneten Lage aus zu gehen und wir werden deffo hier wieder bleiben

Wir sind auf einer Wanderfahrt und wegen des Wetters mussten wir eine Abkehr nach Keswick für eine Übernachtspause machen. Wir machten die Reservierung über eine der vielen Plattformen, die in diesem digitalen Zeitalter verfügbar sind. Wir kamen in unserem vollen nassen Wettergerät und die erste Frage war: ”Sie müssen £6 zahlen, um in meinem Park zu zahlen”, wir schauten uns alle an und schauten dann zurück an den Empfänger und fragten: ”Sieht es aus, als wären wir mit dem Auto angekommen?”. Wir haben viel über die schlechten digitalen Plattformen und einige Schanden darüber, dass sie Vaterlos sind. Die Zimmer, die wir zugewiesen hatten, waren sehr datiert und eine war einfach nicht geeignet. Als wir darum gebeten hatten, zu ändern, war es sofort eine Preissteigerung! Aber es war ein Teil ein Sturm!

We are a party of six and pre-booked a table for late Sunday afternoon food and drinks. The food was very good, the Sunday Dinner in particular was worthy of mention, generous portions of Roast Beef/ Turkey/ Ham, a very good selection of fresh vegetables and Yorkshire puddings. We found the gravy could have been thicker but it didn't spoil the meal...a very generous plate of food for a good price. The staff, young lady and man were both professional and the beer selection was adequate. Nothing at all to complain about and good value for money in the Lake District. It's well worth a try, especially for Sunday dinner.

This is a grand old hotel in the heart of Borrowdale Valley. My husband and I took advantage of a special two night deal complete with plentiful and delicious breakfasts and one very good three course dinner. Our room was spacious with a super old bathtub in the en-suite bathroom. The staff were all very friendly and eager to help in any way they could. We had a lovely time experiencing the great outdoors in spite of the all day wet conditions. The valley is huge with a beautiful rushing river very near to the hotel. I highly recommend a stay at this hotel in its splendid Lake District surroundings.

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage, direkt in der kleinen Stadt am Devon Lake. Der Zimmerstandard beträgt 16 Quadratmeter, aber es fühlt sich an, als ob es mehr als 20 Quadratmeter sein sollten. Sauber und hygienisch. Der Service ist gut, wir kamen früh an und die Rezeption gab das Zimmer ohne ein Wort zu sagen. Das Restaurant im Hotel ist auch sehr gut und die Gerichte sind lecker. Einige ältere Leute vor Ort sagen, dass sie seit mehr als 20 Jahren im Restaurant essen.

Very pleasant short 2-night stay over the New Year. Booked this guest house based on the reviews on here. We had a bit of spare time before checking in so knocked on the door to ask about parking. We were given our keys early and advice about parking, as it happens, we parked right outside in the street for free parking. The room was a good size for what we needed, which was only somewhere to kip as we knew we would be out walking all day. The big high bed was super comfy, Wi-Fi in the room was very strong at no extra charge, usual tea/coffee facilities provided with a bottle of water and biscuits. On the side in the room was a breakfast menu which required populating for the next morning's order. There was a good choice from your full English to simple food like egg on toast. We both opted for the full English. Breakfast time and the food was excellent, the produce was top quality and all cooked to my liking, bacon slightly crispy, it arrived piping hot with a good pot of coffee. I don't normal have two breakfasts on the trot, but I ordered the same again for the next day and again it was excellent. Would definitely return, and we plan to.

Wir haben The Grange als Basis für unsere Woche in The Lakes verwendet. Was für ein superfinden. Sally und ihr Team sind hervorragend. Ich hatte eine kleine Verfahrensweise auf meinem Knie die Woche vor, so dass sie uns ein Zimmer mit einfacher Zugang gefunden. Alle Zimmer sind schön, wenn auch schön dekoriert, sauber und frisch. Das Frühstück setzte uns für den Tag und wir haben das Mittagessen meisten Tage wegen dessen verschoben. Es ist ziemlich ein Hügel, um von der Stadt zu gehen, aber es ist es wert. Die Ansichten sind wunderbar.
