1802 House Bed & Breakfast

This was the third stay for my wife and I at the 1802 House. We have been coming up to Kennebunkport for weekend getaways when we have been able too since we got married 15 years ago. We found the 1802 house after a previous location we frequented was sold and fell in love with it for it's at home feel. It's not a "cookie cutter" styled hotel with all tan walls and the same decor in every room. When you stay here you feel like you're enjoying a slice of something specially catered to you. The morning breakfast is delicious with a sampling of local charm, the beds are comfy, the bathrooms are spotless, the showers are hot, and if the weather cooperates the outdoor seating is great for a mid day break or a late night drink by the fire. Though the 1802 House is a bit off the beaten path and is a bit further from the center of town than other options it's not so far away that you can't walk to town to take in the stores or grab lunch. And to be honest, being a bit further also means a quieter over all atmosphere for those looking to take a break from the hustle and bustle of others.

We had a wonderful stay here. Amazing breakfasts, lovely room in a beautiful house and a fabulous host. We also loved sitting out in the sunny beautiful garden. 1802 House is situated in a peaceful residential area, a short walk to the centre of Kennebunkport, so a perfect location.

In town for work & decided to extend my stay & take a chance on 1802 House. Boy, am I glad I did! You can tell the house & it's grounds are well loved & nestled in a very convenient area - just minutes from downtown Kennebunkport. Breakfast each morning was a few light courses - delicious & the perfect start to your adventure for the day. Everyone on site was pleasant & had lovely recommendations, if you needed them. The shower was hot, bed was super comfy & I so appreciated the "digital brochure" that was emailed which contained all the needed info for the house, along with recommendations! Thanks for a great first B&B experience!

The service was wonderful! Our innkeepers were very nice, helpful and accommodating. The room was also very nice with a comfortable bed. The location was perfect in relation to the downtown Kennebunkport area. We didn't have to drive once and were able to walk anywhere we wanted. I will definitely plan to stay here again!

Lovely area . Easy walk into town for restaurants etc . Different to other reviews we didn’t really enjoy breakfast - there was no choice and to be honest prefer just a savoury breakfast but everyday we had sweet treats which we wouldn’t normally eat , we aren’t very fussy for breakfast but found the one sitting and lack of any choice quite antiquated. The server was just lovely though and extremely helpful but didn’t quite get the vibe that everyone else seemed to Feel . Our room Felt extremely cramped and we were delighted it was only for two nights . We felt it was quite overpriced for what it provided but realise this is an expensive area to stay

We loved our stay! Our host was so welcoming and accommodating! The home and ground are gorgeous and the breakfast was incredible. We very much enjoyed our 1/2 mile walk into town admiring the beautiful sights, We will definitely return in the future.
