My partner and I stayed at a cabin with an ensuite early this month and were impressed by the park location and camping facilities but HATED the cabin. Not even worth the low budget we spent on it. We paid $90 for an overnight stay so weren’t expecting anything too special but I honestly would have preferred to sleep outside in a sleeping bag or tent. As the photos suggest, the cabins have not been updated in any way since being built decades ago. The cabin appeared clean aside from a musty smell and a baby cockroach and gecko running around. The kitchenette appeared tiny and has a stove— though I would be afraid to turn it on in such a small space. The double bed only had one sheet and a blanket on it— no doona. So maybe pack your own if it’s cold? No air conditioning. Only one ceiling fan and it is in the lounge part of the cabin, not the bedroom. I didn’t check for this and regretted it because with the windows closed this place is a hot box. However, with the windows open the rain and wind got in and flicked the curtains up and down creating a very bad sleeping arrangement. Shower was very small but fine. The water was VERY hot even when cold was turned all the way up. Not sure how children would shower in it. I am aware new management have taken over so I genuinely hope they spend some money on these rooms as they are simply outdated and feel grotty. In saying this, we did enjoy walking through the caravan park and walking down to the ponds to see the wildlife. We may come back in a van, but will never consider the cabins again unless I see these reviews change.
