Wenn Sie die Altstadt von Kaunas besuchen möchten, ist dies die beste Wahl. Die Annehmlichkeiten sind ausgezeichnet und die Einrichtung schick. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

This hotel has an awesome toilet for a family of 3. It is spacious and clean. The toiletries are of good quality with a nice fragrance. I like it. The front service has a water dispenser and is very convenient for us.

Great location, staff friendly, breakfast buffet was ok, room temp was a bit warm but when it's-19 outside better a little to warm than too cold. Room fairly basic.

Ich habe dieses Hotel vor allem deshalb gewählt, weil es in der Nähe von Rotuses Aikste, dem Hauptplatz der Altstadt, liegt. Der Preis war mehr als akzeptabel (60 Euro inklusive Frühstück). Ich war mit meiner Entscheidung mehr als zufrieden, weil: * Es ist wahrscheinlich 1 Minute zu Fuß vom Hauptplatz entfernt, aber in einer kleinen ruhigen Straße. * Das Zimmer war einfach, aber sauber und schön. * Mir gefiel das moderne skandinavische Design des Ortes. * Das Frühstück war zwar einfach, aber köstlich. * Ich wachte mit einem fantastischen Blick auf eine Kirche im Innenhof auf (siehe Foto).

The room was large and comfortable. However the air conditioning was broken and it was still hot. We opened the windows and it cooled but noisy. The staff was not helpful with our questions and at times bordered on rude. We ended up overpaying for parking because the registration clerk misquoted the price of the hotel parking. The location was good

Good location in the charming City of Kaunas with all its historic buildings and churches located between Lithuania’s two major rivers but…..: The hotel itself is disappointing: our room flooded because of v heavy rain and a window left open by staff, the ac did not work and a very minimal, bleak breakfast (low quality and boring). So, overall OK but only just. What surprised me most was when a half naked drunk guy was shouting loudly in the hall at reception , the staff just hid…he followed us into breakfast, going table to table, and the staff again just hid and did nothing to protect hotel guests. The police arrived and took him away after 15 mins Extraordinary and disappointing. The hotel’s reaction was pathetic.

Really bad service. We asked about the food, what was the type of meat. We were told to taste it if we want to know. It was just one of bad things. We asked if we can order beer, waiter told to go and buy somewhere else. We don't recomend coming here.

Finding a nice hotel and restaurant in Kaunas wasn't that easy, and we booked Daugirdas based on reviews about the venue. To be honest, we were a bit disappointed. Our hotel room in the older part of the building was large, but pretty dated. The breakfast area in the basement was nice, but when it comes to quality and variety of the buffet, we've seen better. The greatest disappointment was the service though. We had booked dinner at the on-site restaurant and negatively surprised by the impolite way we were treated. In addition, food was fairly uninspired and nothing special which would justify the rather high price level. Not a hotel and restaurant to come back to, I'm afraid.

Daugirdas Hotel is located close to the river in old-town Kaunas. It consists of two conjoined buildings, an old one and a newer annex. Our room was on the 3rd floor of the older part of the building and a bit dated. It was fairly large with a double bed, sofa, and desk, all clearly quite some years old but clean and well-kept. Our bathroom was large, too, and had a small balcony facing the street. Shampoo and shower gel were provided when it comes to toiletries. An on-site bar-restaurant provides drinks and dinner - normally, the restaurant seems to be located on the 1st floor, but when we stayed in June, dinner was only served at the outdoor terrace on the 4th floor. Unfortunately service seemed to be very stressed out (probably they were understaffed considering the number of tables and guests) which translated into a snappy, unfriendly attitude towards us as guests. Food was ok - the starter, tuna tataki, was really nice, but both mains (a salad and a burger) were nothing special and rather uninspired. Breakfast is served in the vaulted cellar, buffet-style, and rather simple. Compared to other hotels, the variety and quality of food were at a relatively lower standard. The room with its vaulted ceiling was impressive, the flip side of the room’s layout and simple furniture was that it was very loud just from people having normal “breakfast conversations”. Overall not bad, but probably not a hotel to remember and return to.

Stayed 1 night. Arrived late. Slick check in, no problems. Room was decent, breakfast decent, left next day. Done the job and had no complaints. Room on the 4th floor that had a rooftop terrace and bar area. Fairly certain that the outdoor space would also be nice in summer.

We stayed three nights in this comfortable well situated hotel in Kaunas and were allocated a large comfortable room with all the necessary amenities. Our included breakfast was ample with plenty of choice and good bean to cup coffee. Just what you need to start the day! The reception staff arranged our transfer from the airport on arrival and to the bus station for our onward tip to Vilnius.Will happily stay here again if we are lucky enough to return to Kaunas.
