We stayed for two nights and we could not be more pleased with the staff, our room and location. The breakfast at the Metropole was amazing and we will definitely be back when we come back to Katoomba. Nice touch with turning on the heat pump on a chilly day for our arrival.

Alan der Klavierspieler war eine ausgezeichnete Überraschung, als wir in einer Nacht überprüft haben. Wir genossen das offene Feuer, das schöne Bier und entspannen sich Alans nach einem langen Tag der Regen und Kälte spielen. Die Zimmer im Hotel sind groß, aber konnten mit einem Licht auf. Wir haben nur eine Nacht geblieben. Wir hatten ein wenig von einer Angelegenheit, die das Personal schnell und zu unserer Zufriedenheit behandelt.

Jamie provided us with the best greeting we have ever had at check-in. He was warm and friendly on arrival and asked us did we know the area and were we looking for anything in particular. He then took the time to highlight the specific locations on a map that would be ideal for our photographic adventure. We arrived in the early evening and Jamie had the heater on in our room and the lights on for us and this was greatly appreciated on a cold Katoomba evening. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable, The large bathroom was recently renovated with plenty of hot water in the shower. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and fully intend to do so in the future.

A little disappointed. On arrival room ac did not work. Had to get hotel staff to clean the filter which was full of dust. There was a stale smell from the carpet, so had to leave patio door open for first 30 minutes each time we arrived. We did not create a fuss since we were only there for 2 nights. There were all the all the things like microwave, toaster, etc. The location is good with walking distance to restaurants etc.

Amazing hotel and I had the most wonderful stay here. The hotel employees are very helpful and caring. The breakfast variety is great, had many options to choose from. The views from the restaurant are breathtaking, overlooking The Valley. They have a golf course joint to the hotel area. And it’s very convenient.

Unfortunately we started off on a bad foot when we had to wait in excess of an hour past our book in time for our room to be ready, then when we did finally get in, the TV remote wouldn't work and to turn it on manually meant it was stuck on one channel with no volume. Went back to reception and swapped batteries which didn't help, then we're told that thier maintenance people wouldn't be back until Monday so nothing they could do. To thier credit they did extend our check out time by an hour and provided breakfast at thier sister property in Katoomba. The property is in need of some TLC and to call them luxury apartments is a bit of a stretch, but they are in good condition overall. To access the studio lofts are up a rather tall flight of stairs that doesn't have a hand rail all the way, and the step treads are rather small (only just over half the length of my foot) which will make it very difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The room does have a kitchenette, but the only thing to cook with is a microwave, no hot plate or frypan included, so bring plastic wrap, paper towel etc with you, aswell as cutlery as there was only 1 knife, 3 forks and heaps of spoons. Room had a nice gas log fire place though we needed the a/con to help heat the room. Also a super sized 2 person spa that's so deep that if your not particularly tall you'll struggle to get in and out of. The shower is over the spa and with the weird uneven base, it makes it difficult to stand in to shower, aswell as a lack of grab rails anywhere.

Unser zweiter oder vielleicht unser dritter Besuch im Hydro und es ist genauso schön. Komm nicht hier, wenn alles, was Sie suchen, ist ein Schlafplatz. Wenn Sie aber an der Geschichte interessiert sind, die Schönheit des Ortes und eine völlig entspannende Zeit, ist das der Ort. Kommen Sie in der Woche, wo es weniger Menschen gibt und es wird so sein, als würden Sie in Ihrem eigenen Land leben. Wir waren früher im Belgravia-Flügel geblieben, und diese Zeit waren wir im Delmonte-Flügel - oben auf dem Ecke. Das Zimmer war sehr klein, aber die Aussicht war großartig! Dieses Flügel war für die Personalunterkunft und war die kürzlich renovierte. Und es hatte Aufzüge! Das Frühstück war ok, aber das Zimmer machte es speziell. Das Abendessen im Wintergarten war erstklassig. Wir hatten keine Gelegenheit, das Kochzimmer zu versuchen. Es hatte schöne Aussichten. Werth in den Pavillon für einen Ort der Geschichte und guten Kaffee. Personal war freundlich und untergebracht. Ein besonderer Dank an Mahesh bei der Rezeption, die für den Historiker Marcus organisierte, um uns für eine Tour zu nehmen. Wir wurden von anderen Bewohnern auf dem Weg zusammengekommen. Ich bin sicher zurück für eine Tour Marcus ist Planung, die beginnt von 10 Uhr (Ich werde das Ihrer Vorstellung überlassen). Und dank auch Ryan, der uns die niedrigen Unterkünfte gab, die die besten Zimmer für unsere nächste Besuch waren. Eine Warnung: Es gibt Straßenarbeiten vor der Großen Weststraße. Ich wurde gesagt, dass bei Bohrarbeiten die Gäste auf der Talseite gehalten werden, damit sie nicht ungünstig sind.

Renoviertes Innenraum mit einem chicken Aussehen, aber das WC war ziemlich dunkel. Kann mit besseren Beleuchtungen tun.

Sehr gut, die Umgebung ist wirklich gut und die Zimmer sind auch sehr gut. Auf dem Weg zu zwei Bahnhöfen von Katoomba verkehren die Züge der Blue Mountain Line jedoch nicht häufig. Wenn also kein Zug fährt, sehen Sie sich den Fahrplan an. Es gibt nicht viel zu essen, daher sollten Abendessen und Frühstück im Voraus vorbereitet werden oder sich eine gute Möglichkeit ausdenken. Es gibt auch mehrere Frühstücksbrunch-Läden in der Stadt Blackheath. Insgesamt perfekte Punktzahl
