I paid for my room through ******* & was charged directly by them. I went to check in & the person at the front desk was very confused about whether I had paid or not. After waiting 20 minutes just to get checked in, I was told that I wouldn’t be charged again & that they had confirmed I already paid.
I was in my room not even 10 minutes & I get a notification for a charge on my credit card from the Travelodge. I go back to the front desk, and the guy tells me, don’t worry we’ll refund you, that must have been an error that the system charged you.
Next morning, another charge from Travelodge. I bring it up again at the front desk & I’m told it’s an error, I’ll be refunded.
As I’m driving that day, TWO MORE CHARGES. I’ve now been charged once through *******, and FOUR TIMES by Travelodge for the SAME ROOM. I call the manager & she tells me they are refunding the charges because it’s an error.
It’s now the end of the week since I’ve stayed at this Travelodge & I still have three extra charges on my card that I’m waiting to be refunded for (at least one of the extra charges got removed). The manager & staff at this Travelodge are terrible. The system will charge you multiple times for one stay & the staff just throw their hands up, and say “This has never happened before”.
