The cottage is situated in a country village on a hill and the sauna is down by the lake. The nearest neighbour (50 m) is a grain dryer which is used only few weeks in August/September (causes some noise when working and it can be heard on the cabin yard). Jogging paths start next to the cottage, which take you all the way to the centre of Tampere, even through the Soukonvuori nature reserve. In winter, a good network of cross-country ski trails also starts nearby. Kauppi nature and sports area is located 9 km away.
