Die CliveLand Residence war eine tolle Unterkunft. Sehr sauber und gut organisiert. Wunderschöner Ort mit Garten und Aussicht. Das Frühstück war auch ausgezeichnet. Der Hotelmanager war sehr zugänglich und freundlich, er bestellte uns abends etwas zu essen, als alles bereits geschlossen war. Tolles Hotel, wenn Sie mit einem Fahrer anreisen.

Kandy ist eine überraschend geschäftige Stadt, daher ist die etwas versteckte Lage der Cliveland Residence auf den Hügeln eigentlich eine gute Sache – schließlich stehen Ihnen Uber und Pick-me zur Verfügung, wenn Sie irgendwo hin müssen. Daher ist der Ort sehr ruhig und gelassen – es handelt sich im Grunde um ein großes Haus, das in ein kleines Hotel umgewandelt wurde und von zwei Personen betreut wird. Die Angestellten sind super nett, aber erwarten Sie hier keine 5-Sterne-Annehmlichkeiten, da das Hotel klein ist. Wenn Sie Ihre Erwartungen im Zaum halten, glaube ich, dass Sie einen guten Aufenthalt haben werden – das habe ich auf jeden Fall getan, da es im Zimmer sehr ruhig war. Wenn Sie durch die Nachbarschaft spazieren, werden Sie sogar Affen entdecken! Draußen gibt es einen kleinen Garten mit Schaukel, von dem aus Sie die Aussicht genießen können. Das Frühstück war einfach, aber gut. Alles in allem ein tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und sehr sauber und komfortabel – sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir waren zwei Tage hier und waren mehr als zufrieden. Moderne Zimmer sind sauber, es gibt sehr schöne Badezimmer. Da es auf einem Hügel liegt, ist die Aussicht atemberaubend. Die Fahrt in die Innenstadt dauert mit dem Auto nur 5 Minuten. Das Zeug ist auch wirklich freundlich.

I recently visited this place during my Kandy tour. I decided to select this place to spend the night based on the reviews and high ratings it has. From the time I entered the premises, I realized that the decision I made based on the reviews was totally wrong. No welcoming, no greetings. They were like we have come to an asylum for free of charge. Owner is super money minded and only concern is about money and not the satisfaction of the guests. One and only caretaker "Muththu" is burdened with unbearable workload and he releases his pressure on the guests. What we realized from his gestures and words was that even Muththu is not happy to work there. Rooms and washrooms were basic. No privacy since the windows are not covered properly. A Basic breakfast was provided. Not worth the money they charge. There are plenty of better options in kandy to have a pleasant stay without resorting to a place like this. That stay was the worst decision ever. Don't be misguided by the reviews.

Lovely room and property. Great location just far enough away from the craziness of downtown Kandy but close enough to get there in 5mins in a tuk tuk. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was tasty. The room is very clean and well appointed. The AC worked well.

We booked all the rooms for a family trip and everyone was thrilled! So clean and comfortable, and the staff are amazing! The breakfast is delicious, especially the Sri Lankan breakfast. The location is also great, with just a short tuk tuk ride into town. Really enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying again!
