Dieses Jahr haben wir 6 Nächte (17. bis 23. Juli 2022) in unserem Haus in Patmos für das 7. Mal in den letzten 10 Jahren verblieben. Um ehrlich zu sein, muss ich zugeben, wie glücklich wir sind. Für mich ist der Aufenthalt in der Nachbarschaft Skala (Mitte der Insel) der beste Weg, Patmos zu erleben. Es ist sehr bequem und gleichzeitig sehr ruhig in den Nächten. Perfekte Restaurants, Cafés, Bars, Boutiquen, zentrale Busshalte, Taxistation, Märkte und etc. Hier wartet Rodon Hotel auf Sie, nur 2-3 Minuten von allem. Ich schreibe wahrscheinlich die gleichen Dinge über die saubere Rudon Hotel in den letzten 10 Jahren, nichts geändert. Die Reinigung des Hotels ist über perfekt und immer noch das Beste. Das Hotel bietet auch schnelles WLAN, Sicherheitsschachtel, Klimaanlage, Kühlschrank, TV, Slips usw.. Sie werden hier wirklich Gastfreundschaft fühlen und ich bin sicher, dass Thomas (der Besitzer) alles für Sie tun wird. Auch, bevor Sie für alles gehen, Restaurants, Bars, Bootsreisen usw. etc.. egal, was Sie suchen, fragen Sie Thomas, Sie werden nicht bedauern. Jetzt freuen wir uns auf unseren nächsten Besuch in diesem ausgezeichneten Hotel und schönen Insel. Keine Pandemie mehr bitte :)

Wir waren im Hauptgebäude, oben auf dem Hügel, mit einer fantastischen Aussicht. Sie haben einen Golfwagen, um zum Strand hoch und runter zu fahren. Aufgrund der anstrengenden Woche sind wir sehr hart gelaufen!

Die Nähe des Hotels zum Flughafen ist prima - auch wenn man die abfliegenden Maschinen tagtäglich hört und sieht, da diese Flugzeuge über die Hotelanlage fliegen. Leider ist auch auf Kos die Wirkung von Covid 19/Corona nicht spurlos vorbei gegangen, denn auch in diesem 5* Hotel fehlt es leider an Personal. Die einzelnen Zimmer (203) sind recht ordentlich von der Größe her und man hat mal ausreichend Stauraum, jedoch nur einen Stuhl und leider fehlt auch Etwas für die Dinge des Täglichen Gebrauchs aufzuhängen. Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer und des Bades waren gut und der Wäschetausch ordentlich. Man sollte Toilettenpapier in eine separate Mülltonne im Bad sammeln, was jedoch bei einer Reinigung alle 2 Tage aus unserer Sicht schon bedenklich erscheint und auch riecht. Die Hotelanlage ist schön gepflegt und die beiden Außenpools laden zum baden und verweilen ein. Die Kinderbecken (40cm und 50 cm) sind relativ klein und haben auch keine Treppe um herein zugelangen. Die Liegen (etwas in die Jahre gekommen) sind in ausreichender Anzahl vorhanden und man braucht eigentlich nicht zu reservieren. Der Strandbereich ist leider ca. 400m vom Haupthaus und den meisten Unterkünften entfernt, jedoch kann man mit Aron oder Ahmad (toller Service) dorthin gefahren werden und später auch wieder abgeholt werden. Am Strand sind ebenfalls ausreichend Liegen vorhanden und der Strand wird täglich gereinigt. Der Service der Strandbar (Toni) ist topp, denn er läuft immer zwischen Strand und Strandbar herum und bringt den Gästen kalte oder auch warme Getränke. Das Animationsprogramm tagsüber ist wegen Personalmangels nicht so groß und das Abendprogramm wiederholt sich leider jede Woche. Die Poolbar ist recht gut sortiert - auch wenn man für manche Getränke zusätzlich bezahlen muss, gibt es doch allerhand gute Getränke. Leider muss man sich die Getränke selbst holen - abgeräumt wird jedoch vom Personal. Auch hier sind alle sehr freundlich. Das Restaurant bietet keine außergewöhnlichen Spezialitäten oder auch mal Showkochen, aber man findet immer Etaws zum Essen und wird auch satt. Bei den angebotenen Suppen ist leider oftmals keine Suppentasse verfügbar, was natürlich ärgerlich ist. Die Getränke im Restaurant sind ordentlich und alle verfügbar. Manchmal muss man halt fragen, ob es noch Speisen oder Getränke gibt, da halt überall zu wenig Personal ist. Morgens streikt schon mal eine der beiden Kaffeeautomaten, aber hier ist sehr schnell Abhilfe parat. Leider sind die Speisen, wie in fast allen südlichen Ländern, nur lauwarm und wenn man dann noch eine Zeit warten muss fast kalt - schade!! Mit Beschwerden wird sehr gut und schnell umgegangen dank der Gästebetreuerin Stella, die sich um alle Probleme der Gäste kümmert und für direkte Abhilfe sorgt. Das A La Carte Restaurant ist schön, aber die Speisen sind ebenso wie im Restaurant, nur dass man bedient wird und Getränke bezahlen muss.
