Very good hotel , good price, very good staff . Excellent breakfast.
Antwort der Unterkunft: Dear guest, Thank you for your stay in our hotels. Kindly note that the center of Kalambaka is 1,5 klm away from the hotel. In addition the swimming pool is not from the 80s, it has been renovated, it is large and considered to be one of the focal points in the hotel, as it is the ideal place to relax throughout the day during the hot months. Also one can enjoy coffee, fresh juices, refreshing drinks, cocktails and light snacks. Please note that the orange juice served is of high quality (viva). We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again in our hotel in the future. Sincerely, Argiris Daouliaris Director of Operations & Quality

Located out of town with no views to Meteora at all. It was clean, quiet, comfortable and sufficient for an overnight stay (we were on a tour otherwise you'd need a car). €7 per night room tax payable upon check in. Breakfast and dinner were buffets with enough variety to satisfy most, however it is a huge barn of a dining room full of large tour groups.

Wonderful stay at the AMALIA HOTEL METEORA. Our room was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed the pool and bar. The common areas of the hotel are a bit dated and the carpeting was starting to roll in our hallway…nonetheless, our room was great, everything was extremely clean, and the staff was helpful. The hotel is showing its age, but your stay will be great. If we were in Meteora again … we’d stay here!!

This hotel appears to exist solely to cater to the plethora of tour buses that roll in, expelling hundreds of new tourists each day. Dinner at the on-site restaurant was buffet style, and was designed to feed those hundreds of folks at the same 7:30 pm time. I think there were eight different tour companies represented, with assigned seating for each group. Kinda reminded me of a wedding reception, with long lines snaking down both sides of the buffet table, and much of the food seemed institutional in quality, designed to feed the masses quickly. Rooms were adequate, but certainly dated as other reviewers have mentioned, and the sheets are indeed a bit on the rough side. And yeah, the black mold in the corner of the tub/shower was a bit of a turn-off, if it even wasn’t mold. Overall it wasn’t a horrible experience, but it sure didn’t wow me either.

The rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade. This is in no way a 4-star hotel. The carpet in the rooms must be from the 70s and has more stains than a crime scene. The furniture is covered in pet hair (we moved rooms and it was the same story). The pool area is good, but for us there was no service. The buffet for both dinner and breakfast was good. The beds were super hard and the sheets like sandpaper. The front desk staff was nice and allowed us to change rooms from the 1st as it was not someplace I would take my shoes off in (pics attached). The second room was only slightly better. I would stay someplace else in this area if you can. We were here as part of a group.

Hello, although in August I experienced several 4* accommodations in Greece, staying at this hotel remains a pleasant surprise. although I didn't have high expectations considering my previous experiences, I met here, in short: cleanliness, large spacious rooms, friendly and communicative staff. breakfast and dinner were ok, everything was a pleasant surprise.

While the lobby is welcoming, this chain has some serious air conditioning problems in the hotels. Upon entering the lobby, you can feel the warmth of the weather. Again I has the AC set at 10°C. It was comfortable but in reality there should have been icicles in the room. While the bathroom appeared clean there was black mold in the corner of the tub and inside the soap dispenser which did not close properly. Carpeting should be replaced because of the questionable stains. The need was comfortable but the sheets were like sandpaper.
