Hotel: I found the description of this hotel confusing, it was probably just me! The plot is essentially long and narrow (ish) sloping upwards from the sea. From turning in from the road there is a long car park. From the car park there is a set of steps with ramp alternative. The reception and breakfast area and conference centre is the main building with some rooms sited above. Then further back accessed via a set of steps/longer ramp into the site are two storey blocks of bedrooms, the pool area and the massage room. There is no gym. The incline from the pool area into the back of the site where most of the rooms is sited is generally gradual with intermittent steps and slope alternative. Across the road from the hotel is their Costa Costa beach bar and access to a cove area with sun beds. This can be access via a pedestrian crossing or through a short subway/lift. Room We had booked a superior room for 2 adults and a 10 yr old. On check in we were allocated a bungalow to give us more room. From previous experience we knew this word means something else in Greece than in the UK. We were given a bedroom on the first floor of one of the standalone blocks. The main bed was king size with a comfortable mattress. Our child had a prepared single camp bed. The room came with a small balcony, the area allowed 2 chairs, a small table and stool. The depth, for reference, was slightly greater than the external element of an air conditioning unit. Our room had a lovely sea view, I think most rooms would have similar as the all seem to face west. The balcony door and bathroom window were both fitted with separate insect ‘shutters’ do you can have your balcony door open and not have to worry about little insects flying in etc. The main door to our room was accessed from outside, like a motel. These faced in an easterly direction. The reason for highlighting this is that the lock you need to pull to close your door is metal and bakes in the morning sun. When we would go to leave for breakfast at 9 (during the heatwave) it was too hot to touch. The air conditioning was excellent and the rooms also had a ceiling fan. Sound proofing was very good. Food We were on a bed and breakfast basis. The breakfast was fresh, of generally good quality but never varied. Personally I wouldn’t eat the sliced fresh fruit left on a side board due to the presence of fruit flies in the room but I would appear to have been in the minority. There was a fresh fruit salad alternative in the fridge area. I didn’t have any of the fried breakfast items but was told that they were often tepid/cold. It was a matter of luck wrt whether you were there when they came out. I would say most of the guests were Greek so there wasn’t the same level of demand for such breakfast items which probably explains this slower turnover/risk of cold food. You can buy food in Costa Costa but it is expensive and poor quality in my opinion. The location for a sun set cocktail is however excellent. Locati

We went late June and we had one of those rooms with the private pool. Of course, like all hotels now days, the beds for the kids where in the living room. The one was the sofa and the other was a not that comfortable single bed. The bedroom was large and so was the bed. Still, I do not understand why the pillows only came in one size, large. The bathroom was big enough with a nice walk in shower. There was a big closet for clothes, but a really small refrigerator. I mean you could not fit a large water bottle in there. Like in many hotels, they offered free coffee but like no good hotel I have been to lately, they offered filter coffee not espresso. Not good filter coffee, and that goes for the tea too. Another disappointment. The small yard with the pool was nice, but accessible by others. I mean, there you are swimming or just lying there with your family, and there were people going through the far end of the yard. Why? I can understand for safety reasons, but that is why there was another entrance from the pool side. Our yard and pool where exposed to the sun all day. An umbrella would have been useful. The pool was big enough for the kids and you can have lots of fun. But the cleaning system was not on all the time. Thus, if you wanted to take swim early in the morning or late at night, then you had to swim with leaves, dead bugs and little trash. Furthermore, the door that gave access to the pool's mechanism was not locked, so everyone had access to it, even kids. Now, let me say that I am complaining a bit because this is a relatively new 5 star hotel, and one should have expectations for it, especially with the money required. Let me continue. In general, the room was clean and comfortable. The wifi was OK as far as speed and stable, but the password was not safe enough. Also, it is 2024, so USB outlets are a must. The hotel pool was nice and big enough. There was enough space for everybody and there was distance between the umbrellas. There was also a life guard, that also served as the man in charge of the towels, but also a very pleasant and friendly individual. But the sunbeds were from the 1980s and not comfortable, while some of the chairs were broken. That was unacceptable. The beach bar/restaurant was nice enough. There was a wide selection of things to drink and eat, and the prices were reasonable, while the portions were large. The only thing we did not like was the freddo cappuccino, but taste is a relative thing. Now, I cannot say the same about the breakfast. Although there was a wide selections on things to eat and drink, the quality was not always good enough. And if someone from the hotel is reading this, if you offer pancakes, that you should have maple syrup. I mean they had, but I had to ask for it every day. The people working there were really friendly, eager to help, and despite their obvious workload they were not grumpy. And this was the only thing that was 5 star. The hotel is situated at the
