Struttura nuova, vicino al centro e al mare!

One goes to a place, with certain expectations, based on what you see in pictures posted in sites and feedback from personal friends who have gone to the place - such was the bases of our decision to book in Nabulao Beach & Dive Resort. The place looked good. The grounds upkeep did not disappoint. The flora was very nice, providing very calming green surroundings. The beach front has lounging chairs - sounds of the wind and the ebbing tide - peace and quiet...i.e. if a big LGU (local government unit) group have not booked the same days you have. Apparently this is a resort popular for conferences and meetings. Major downsides! Be ready to have No Service (globe or smart) and no internet connections in the rooms. Be ready to be disconnected and be off the grid! The resort staff advised us that to be able to be connected to Globe we have to position ourselves in the beachfront. To also have internet, even if you have data, one is also expected to do the same. Apparently, this is a problem of the whole place. Sipalay & Hinobaan are places with very poor internet. Definitely these are not places you can go to for workation! If you are expected to WFA (Work From Anywhere) this is not your go to place. To have cable TV in the rooms, the system is that they put in a ”load” for the use of guests. Unfortunately for us, the cable TV in our room had ”No Load”. The combination of no internet and no cable is not good at all when there is nothing else to do. The pools were not clean. We were told that chemicals for the pool were ordered but have not arrived. The beach is not ”swim-able”! Sand mites in these parts are vicious. Adding to this are the stray dogs, cats, chickens! The staff were very polite and listened to our concerns. However, they seemed not capable to act on some of our concerns immediately - perhaps not empowered enough by management to address guests' complaints. For example, changing our towels which were full of holes and for sure have seen better days. With a little pressure, on our 2nd & last day, they gave us a new room with cable connection and better looking towels. The staff being nice certainly made up for the difficulties experienced. But I still am not changing my Poor Rating.

Tout était au top. On a très bien été reçu. L'emplacement est peu bruyant. Les chambres sont cosy. Les propriétaires sont gentils comme tout. On se sentait bienvenus, et on tenait à vous remercier pour votre bienveillance.

Auch wenn inzwischen das Reisen auf die Philippinen viel teurer geworden ist, so ist der Service vor Ort, die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeber und des Personals in Takatuka immer wieder hervorzuheben. Schaut Euch deren Auftritt im Internet an und Ihr könnt Euch ein Bild davon machen. Träume können wahr werden. Der Flug ist lang und ich kann eine Übernachtung in Manila oder Cebu empfehlen. Das auch deswegen, weil nicht alle Flüge pünktlich sind, der Verkehr in den beiden Städten sehr heftig sein kann und man so in Zeitprobleme kommen kann. Der Transport auf der Insel Negros vom Flughafen zum Hotel wird auf Wunsch von Hotel organisiert. Und dann kommt man in ein Resort der anderen Art. Vom Aufbau ist alles sehr solide und gemütlich. Es ist bunt, wie der Name schon sagt und es ist ruhig. Ein schöner, langgezogener Strand rundet das Bild ab. Ich gehe tauchen und bin so schon an vielen Orten gewesen, aber hierhin zieht es mich zurück. An diesem Strand gibt es eine Reihe von Hotels mit Restaurants bzw nur Restaurants. Das Essen und trinken ist durch die Bank sehr gut und wirklich lecker. Es gibt von Pizza, über Schnitzel bis hin zu wirklich guter einheimischer Küche alles. Und es ist bezahlbar. Ich habe dort keinmal den Eindruck gehabt, das ich über den Tisch gezogen wurde. Auch das ist eine Reise Wert. Nur eines sollte man nicht vergessen: man braucht ZEIT! Ist man der letzte, der bestellt hat, bekommt man auch als letzter sein essen. Meistens wird nicht parallel zubereitet sondern schön einer nach dem anderen. Ich habe unten ”Paare” angekreuzt. Ich habe aber auch genug singles gesehen. Die nächste Stadt ist in weniger als einer Stunde zu Fuss zu erreichen. Auch gibt es einige schöne Flecken für ”Wanderungen” in der Umgebung. Auch wenn ich mich überwiegend mit tauchen beschäftige, treffen wir immer wieder auch andere Gäste. Übrigens sind an dem Strand viele deutschsprachige Besitzer, so dass auch hier immer geholfen wird. Letztlich gibt es die Möglichkeit, auf eigene fast dort hin zu reisen, oder wie wir mit einem Reiseunternehmen. Da wir tauchen machen wir solchen Urlaub als Pauschalreise über Nautilus (ist so auch im Internet zu finden), die uns seit Jahren mit tollen Zielen versorgen. Fahrt Mal dort hin! Es lohnt sich!!!!!
