We stayed in the Deluxe Twin with seaview on L6 (newly refurbished), the room was very spacious n quite clean. The furniture was brand new and the room had been recently repainted, resulting in a strong paint smell. The toilet flushing system was not working properly, as the water flow was weak n slow. However, the seaview during sunset was beautiful. The receptionist’s attitude during check-in was neither friendly nor professional. The breakfast was average and u might be disappointed if u have high expectations. Overall, our stay at this hotel was okay.

Toilet seat was cracked. Is dangerous as user would be injured (skin could stuck inside the crack and cause bleeding). When informed the hotel, they just offered to change room with no apology at all. This is totally not acceptable for a five star hotel

I recently stayed at Thistle Johor Bahru, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The hotel offers a beautiful view, especially if you get a sea-facing room—the daytime scenery is quite nice and adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The overall vibe of the place is calm and peaceful, perfect for a short getaway. Cleanliness was decent, though I did notice that some areas could use better maintenance. The pool area is well-landscaped and adds to the charm of the hotel. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay with good service and nice views, this is a solid option. However, a little refresh in some parts of the hotel would make the experience even better!

Back again for our short getaway, nothing to wow about on this hotel . After renovation seems to be slightly better than usual . Room tab was leaking that’s the only down side . Aircon was awesomely cold and strong !

Overall good stay.. except for the breakfast. Perhaps the hotel should improve more on the variety of the breakfast choices.

The service was amazing and the people was so welcoming and helpful. Definitely will revisit and recommended to friends and families. Thank you for smooth check ins and check outs 👍

Overall stay is awesome compared to previous guest reviews. The service is excellent especially during breakfast time when we had special assistance due to overload guest from other trip.

Lobby was nice and smell great.. Room looks good and clean though had some musky smell unlike at lobby.. Toilet is average coz toilet bowl water was pretty high we kept worrying if it will overflow.. Spiral Steps to swimming pool was rather steep, so be careful.. Swimming pool was great and big.. Breakfast had a really long queue if you go after 9am.. The spread was good.. On Sunday, there was a clown who did balloon sculpture which made my toddler happy..  Room has nice seaside view..

Stayed in the newly renovated and expecting a good and positive stay but -.-z Requested for babycot and this is what exactly I received just babycot with no mattress 🙃 How do I even placed my newborn baby in without any mattress and not able to shift it up. It is unreachable to even place my baby there. The room and bed was so dusty that I can’t even have a good sleep on my 1st night. Non stop runny nose flowing to start my day. Called for in-room dining and took so long to answered the call. Call was being transferred for more than 3 times. Ordered and waited for 1hr + for the food that never came. Tired of waiting so I cancelled on the orders. Breakfast spread was ok nothing much.

Disappointed stay. Will not come again. As shown in picture, that kind of room being given during my stay. I did not ask for replacement because late check in due to heavy traffic. Tired and disappointed. Btw, the cistern also not working, the refilling process took very long time and I have to open the cistern cover my self to fill in the water. The only good things is. The pool was big and your kids will love it to max.

I stayed at Thistle Hotel JB, and while the property is beautiful with stunning views, spacious rooms, and excellent amenities, the service didn’t quite meet the 5-star standard. The staff was friendly, but responsiveness was inconsistent—room service was slow, and there was a bit of a disconnect between departments. Despite these service issues, the overall experience was still enjoyable, and I’d return for the quality of the facilities, hoping the service improves.

Had a great experience, service was good and generally very prompt. Breakfast had a wide variety of options. Staff are warm and friendly. The only thing that they need to improve would be the swimming pool ladders. It was shaky for both off them and there was a screw protruding out of the ladder and could be hazardous to any guest. The refurbished room was excellent.
