Gutes Hostel, nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Angenehmer Aufenthaltsbereich, sowohl unten in der Lobby als auch oben auf der Dachterrasse. Ich war auf meiner Reise durch Indien Anfang Oktober zwei Mal hier. Zuerst in einem sehr geräumigen Doppelzimmer, was wirklich gut und geräumig war. Das zweite Mal hatte ich ein Dorm gebucht und hatte ein 2er-Dorm, was für eine Nacht okay war. Wichtig zu wissen: Um in die Stadt zu kommen, läuft *** 30 Minuten (Abkürzung nicht möglich, daher ist die Angabe 400 Meter in Bezug auf die Laufdistanz etwas irreführend). Es ist aber ein schönes Hideaway und ein wirklich empfehlenswertes Hostel. Das Restaurant, welches sich im Hostel befindet, ist meiner Meinung nach nicht zu empfehlen. Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis nicht gut, keine gute Qualität des Essens und langsamer und aufmerksamer Service. Also besser auswärts essen. Wer mit dem Zug anreist: Es empfiehlt sich, an der "Raikabag Palace Junction" auszusteigen, da diese Station erheblich näher am Hostel liegt (10 Minuten zu Fuß). Vom Bahnhof Jodhpur ist es deutlich weiter (30 Minuten zu Fuß) Zum Flughafen sind es knapp zehn Minuten mit Auto / TukTuk.

The person who received us (I won't say "welcomed us") at the hotel was taciturn and grim-faced. The room was very large but equally uninviting. A fan did not work. Neither bedside lights worked, one being broken and the other having no socket. The loo cistern did not work and had to be filled with a bucket. The floor seemed to have been mopped with dirty water. There was no water in the morning because no one had bothered to turn on an essential pump. The kitchen staff had dirty habits such as dumping new (solidly frozen) butter on top of the remains in an old unwashed dish, and holding glasses and teacups (no saucer) by the rim. Checkout was as grim-faced as checkin, and we couldn't get away fast enough. I have stayed in dozens and dozens of hotels in India over the last 50 years, and this one falls into the lowest 10%.

This is a very beautiful homestay. The entire property has lots of memoirs which shows the rich rajasthan culture. The room was beautiful way beyond my expectations, full of beautiful lights, wall painting and antiques. Food was also good. Overall a much recommended staty for family.

I come jodhpur with friends and stayed here for a week. Tastefully decorated, food was delicious. Here food preparation is with fresh ingredients. Rooms are quite and well maintained. Staff speaks various languages and well disciplined. Sumit and Vijay are recommended. Duarg niwas has ngo also which is working and associated to women empowerment.

These are non ac room which was not clearly mention in the posting. When we went for cancellation, the reception agreed for full refund since it was really hot. However they kept on changing their statement, later they said only 1 day will be refunded and later they denied refund at all when we give heads-up 24 hrs prior as well. My brother had a very important exam but rather than understanding his situation they wasted his time and effort.

This property is close to railway station at a good location but our stay was terrible because of lot of noise of some group of people who didn't let us sleep as they played lot of loud music and fought till 2am in morning. Also in morning it becomes very noisy because of nearby school and other activities. It's not good for family at all, youngsters probably come and that's why they drink and create problems

Perfect place to stay in town. I came first time to Jodhpur. Really had wonderful experience. Durag Niwas runs NGO also. Travellers can visit and also voluntarily participate with them.There is restaurant which serving delicious food and value for money!! Staff Vijay and Sumit highly recommended!!! A must visit place.
