GGastnutzerIch war absolut begeistert. Wenn man durch eine enge Gasse in der Altstadt von Pingyao kommt, ist das Innere unglaublich romantisch. Die massive Loft-Konstruktion aus Holz, die beim Öffnen der Tür einen dezenten Holzduft verströmt, und die weißen Gazevorhänge in Kombination mit hellgrünen Vorhängen erzeugen eine frische und elegante Atmosphäre, die mich sofort in ihren Bann zog.
Was mir noch besser gefiel, war der unglaublich aufmerksame Service des Besitzers, vom Check-in bis zur Abreise. Er war während des gesamten Prozesses unglaublich aufmerksam und fürsorglich.
Er bot sogar kostenlose Kostüme und Geschenke an und sorgte dafür, dass unsere Reise unvergesslich wurde.

GGastnutzerWir übernachteten in diesem wunderschönen Hotel. Der jetzige Besitzer, Herr Wang, hat es liebevoll restauriert. Er ist der Besitzer der sechsten Generation.
Bis vor zehn Jahren war es ein heruntergekommenes und baufälliges Gebäude. Er investierte viel Zeit, Geld, Herzblut und Tränen in die Restaurierung.
Und es sieht tatsächlich aus wie ein traditionelles Haus.
Man fühlt sich wie in einer anderen Zeit.
Der Kundenservice übertrifft alle Erwartungen. Er ist so gut, dass ich Herrn Wangs Aufenthalt in jedem seiner Hotels empfehlen kann.
Er holte uns am Lower East Gate ab und brachte uns zum Hotel. Anschließend brauchte er fast eine halbe Stunde, um uns ausführlich zu erklären, welche Sehenswürdigkeiten wir besuchen sollten, egal ob sie innerhalb oder außerhalb der Stadt liegen.
Einige seiner Empfehlungen, die nicht in den Reiseführern standen, waren sehr gut. Zum Beispiel schlug er drei Restaurants vor, die wir mieden, weil wir dachten, er würde dafür Provisionen bekommen. An unserem vierten und letzten Tag probierten wir sein zweites Restaurant aus. Und es war gut, das Essen und der Service waren gut. Die Preise waren im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants durchschnittlich, und als Hotelgäste bekamen wir 10 % Rabatt. Und man bedenke, wir hatten bereits zehn Mahlzeiten gegessen, als wir auf seine Empfehlungen stießen.
Ein weiterer Vorschlag von Herrn Wang war das Haus der Familie Ma – auch ein sehr guter Tipp von ihm.
Er reagierte stets mit Begeisterung auf alle unsere Wünsche oder Fragen.
An unserem letzten Tag checkten wir um 4 Uhr morgens aus, und er brachte uns trotzdem zu dieser unchristlichen Zeit zum Abholpunkt.
Ja, der Kundenservice von Herrn und Frau Wang ist einfach erstklassig.
Das Zimmer war groß, ein Queen-Deluxe-Doppelzimmer, und die Einrichtung bestand aus traditionellen chinesischen Möbeln aus Palisander. Sehr teure Möbel für ein Hotelzimmer. Die Dusche funktionierte gut und war heiß. Beachten Sie jedoch, dass es sich um ein chinesisches Nassraumsystem handelt, d. h. es gibt keinen Duschvorhang zwischen der Dusche und einem kleinen Teil des Badezimmers, der nass wird, wenn man nicht aufpasst. Herr Wang sagte, dies werde eine seiner Prioritäten sein. Hoffentlich ist das Problem bis zu Ihrer Buchung behoben.
Das Hotel liegt ganz in der Nähe der Hauptstraßen. Etwa 5 Minuten Fußweg.
Pingyao ist eine der am stärksten ummauerten Städte Chinas. Die alten Gebäude sind noch intakt und die Menschen leben noch dort. Auch die Stadtmauern sind vollständig erhalten. Nachts ist die Stadt ein großartiger Anblick.

The hosts were welcoming with a demeanour befitting their valuation of their ancient building. Within minutes, the lady of the house was able to arrange for a car to take me to the wonderful temples at Xiaoxitian and Shuanglin. The other lady met me and arranged for a free transport to the railway station. It was a pleasure to experience ancient China for a couple of days. Xiexie

Our stay at this exceptional traditional hotel in Pingyao was nothing short of magical. Originally an academy, the property has been beautifully restored and transformed into a serene boutique hotel that immerses you in Chinese history and culture without compromising comfort.
Location
Perfectly situated in a quiet area away from the crowds of the main tourist sites, the hotel offered a peaceful sanctuary after long days of exploring. The silence and calm added to the authenticity of the experience, as if we had truly stepped into another era.
Design & Atmosphere
The preservation of the original architecture and layout of the academy was breathtaking. Every detail of the hotel—from the wooden beams to the stone pathways—exuded historical charm. The sense of place was so strong that it felt like we were emperors transported back in time.
Room
We stayed in the Shuyuan Canopy Bed Suite, which was immaculate and exquisitely designed. The amenities were thoughtfully curated, blending modern convenience with traditional elegance. The canopy bed was a highlight, evoking a luxurious, regal atmosphere. We were particularly touched by the high-quality tea sets provided, which allowed us to enjoy our own private tea time in the comfort of the room.
Service
From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptional—always smiling, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. Free transportation from the train station was a seamless and much-appreciated touch that set the tone for the rest of our stay.
Facilities
Every facility was carefully maintained and contributed to the overall harmony of the space. The hotel’s attention to detail extended to every corner, making for a deeply enriching and relaxing experience.
Breakfast
The only area with room for improvement was the breakfast. Served in a traditional 9-bowl box, it lacked variety and felt more like a school meal than a luxury experience. We would have loved more choices and the ability to select our dishes instead of receiving a pre-chosen set. With an upgraded breakfast service, this hotel would truly be flawless.
Final Thoughts
This stay was one of the most unique and memorable travel experiences we've ever had. A perfect blend of heritage, hospitality, and comfort. We would return in a heartbeat—and next time, hopefully with a breakfast experience to match the rest of the hotel’s excellence.

IIvonne MarinObwohl das Hotel in der Altstadt liegt, befindet es sich nicht in der Nähe der Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die Besitzer haben sich bei unserer Ankunft sehr um uns gekümmert und uns vom Bahnhof abgeholt und auch wieder zurückgebracht. Ihre Freundlichkeit war unglaublich. Da es an diesem Tag sehr kalt war und unser Zug erst um 16:30 Uhr abfuhr, durften wir nach der Abgabezeit losfahren. So konnten wir uns in dieser Zeit ausruhen.
Das Hotel muss renoviert werden, da die Einrichtungen bereits etwas abgenutzt sind.
Obwohl es keinen Gastronomiebetrieb gibt, hat uns der Besitzer ein sehr gutes Restaurant empfohlen.
Leider wurde das Zimmer nicht gereinigt.
Der Komfort der Betten und das Platzangebot des Zimmers sind zufriedenstellend. Die Wohnung verfügt über eine Heizung.
Im Badezimmer gibt es keine Trennung zwischen Dusche und Toilette. Außerdem haben wir einen Geruch festgestellt, der offenbar von den Wasserleitungen kommt.

Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich freundlich und bieten sogar Rabatte in den lokalen Restaurants, zusätzlichen Wert zum Aufenthalt. Ein besonderer Verweis geht auf ihre wunderschönen Puddel-Cross-Hund, Honey, der einen warmen und heimlichen Kontakt zum Ort hinzufügt.
Die Zimmer verfügen über einen traditionellen Stil mit alten Betten und Hühnern mit Weizen, um etwas zu bedenken, da die Betten auf der festeren Seite sind. Die moderne Ensuite, Heizung, elektrische Wäsche und WC sorgen jedoch für einen komfortablen Aufenthalt.
Insgesamt ist das Pingyao Garden Inn eine große Wert-für-Geld-Option für diejenigen, die einen klassischen, gemütlichen Aufenthalt mit willkommenen Gastgebern in einer unschlagbaren Lage erleben wollen. Ich würde es definitiv empfehlen!

MMattGuzmanSehr gutes Hotel, das Zimmer ist sehr schön im nordchinesischen Stil. Der Herr an der Rezeption ist unglaublich freundlich und hat mir früh das Zimmer gegeben und mir Tipps zur Lichtshow gegeben. Die Stadt ist wunderschön, aber ich finde sie sehr oberflächlich. Jeder macht Fotos, eine Cola kostet 8 Yuan ... Und außerhalb der Mauern gibt es alles zu chinesischen Preisen. Ich empfehle den Pass für 125 Yuan. Ich habe ausländische Touristen gesehen, die direkt für die Mauer 130 Yuan bezahlt haben. Wenn ich wiederkomme, würde ich wieder in diesem Hotel übernachten.

Es handelt sich um ein antikes Gebäude, das im antiken Stil dekoriert und sehr unverwechselbar ist. Das B&B verfügt über einen eigenen Reisefotografieladen und im kleinen Innenhof des B&B können Sie Blockbuster fotografieren. Es gibt auch einen Abhol- und Bringservice, was definitiv eine sehr gute Wahl für eine Unterkunft ist, wenn Sie die antike Stadt Pingyao besuchen.

GGastnutzerEs ist großartig, während der Feiertage zum Nationalfeiertag in einem so tollen Zimmer übernachten zu können! Der Laden war sehr rücksichtsvoll und half mir im Voraus, einen Parkplatz auf einem Parkplatz außerhalb der Stadt zu finden. Am Nationalfeiertag war ich wegen der Parkplätze sehr nervös, aber sie konnten einen Parkplatz finden. Sie helfen Ihnen auch beim Transport Ihres Gepäcks in die Stadt. Der Standort befindet sich in der West Street, nicht weit von Rishengchang entfernt, und es ist sehr bequem, überall hin zu gelangen. Vor der Abreise habe ich noch 2 Fässer Essig geschenkt.
