Carinya Village Jindabyne

I recently stayed at Carinya Village and was not a great experience. I had read some mixed reviews so I knew there might have been some issues, and leaving aside the room was small, bedding was old, and I can’t guarantee the room had been cleaned properly after the previous guest had left, the main issue I found was the bathroom. I stayed in a shared-bathroom room, (1 shower, 1 urinal & 1 toilet) Urinal wasn’t working, the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in who knows how long (dead spiders in the sink, half used shampoo and soap bars everywhere), holes in the roof (in winter with freezing temps), thick grime everywhere, nowhere to leave your clothes while having a shower, shower made of unfinished pressed unpainted wood leaking everywhere, but the best part? toilet had a sign not to put even toilet paper in it, and the rubbish bin, already ¾ filled with used toilet paper, wasn’t emptied in the 5 nights I stayed in. And I’m still suffering of a bad case of athletes’ foot I caught while staying there. I was hesitant of writing this review as the people there were lovely, but they need to get it sorted.

The Massage from Lisa was Fantastic, and Just what I needed, after 3 days of snow boarding with my 10 year old twin boys! The Taro reading and chat with Lisa was life changing.........and I'll admit I've never had one before. Best Wishes to the new Management. Sara and Sons

Reception staff were great and friendly . But the management and the accomodation is terrible . After a massive drive from newy to the snow for the weekend . We went back for a night at this accomodation where we paid a premium for a private bathroom . The room was very very dingy , absolutely no service and when we asked about free wifi they offer it was down of course.We then went to shower after a very cold day and boom no hot water , we then talked to the receptionist who said it will be fixed shortly once management arrived . After checking in at 4pm then waiting until 7pm with no update on when we may receive hot water, we then talked to reception who said we will be able to get a full refund as the service we paid for was clearly not available . . In the end we had to make the hard decision to leave and drive back to stay with family in Canberra. Upon emailing management to discuss refund we were told they wouldn’t refund it and that we should of used the communal showers which we knew for a fact we’re out also but management continue to argue that they were working regardless we had paid for a service which included private bathroom and wifi witch were not provided . Management have offered a $100 dollar refund of $365 which is completely unreasonable, even the *********** representative believed so to . Extremely disappointed, would not recommend to anyone.

This place need to closed for rehabilitation, worst place to stay ever! List of frustration and disappointment are endless, top of the list is NO WATER from day 1 till the day we left, and we could see other customers coming meaning they aren’t informed that the water supply is not fixed. I think they know they could get away with it because all other accommodations are fully booked.. Extremely disappointed!
