As always, I felt like I came home. I might’ve stayed at this property hundreds of time but I’ve never experienced a member of the staff who wasn’t polite. The location was perfect, close to attractions and convenient for exploring the city. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting!

What truly impressed me was the cleanliness and affordability of the accommodations. Despite being budget-friendly, the rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable, offering everything I needed for a pleasant stay without breaking the bank.

We had a group of 12 working on storm assessment after Hurricane Idalia. We were working the Waycross/Valdosta area. Hotels were hard to find during the evacuation. After working 16 hours and driving almost an hour, we were not pleased at all to arrive exhausted to such a shabby, dirty hotel. The father and son staff looked and acted extremely unprofessional and seemed to struggle having multiple reservations coming in all at once. Room keys didn’t work, ********* reeking hallways and rooms, nasty, trashy hallways, etc. was just the beginning. Our room was dirty. Nothing was wiped down where previous guests had eaten. The smell was so bad we had to spray deodorant to mask the smell. When getting ready to shower, we had one towel, one washcloth and one hand towel. While my husband was showering, the vent fell from the ceiling and hit him in the head. When leaving, we asked for our room receipt. We were told we couldn’t get one because of the computer system. I have no idea why Baymont would allow their name to be attached to this miserable excuse for lodging.

There were several roaches in the room, no soap was available upon arrival, no elevator for upper floor guests, the stairwell leading to the 2d floor took you thru a utility area, the carpet on the stairwell was filthy and looked like it had never been cleaned…nothing professional about staff or facility. I would not stay here again.

The management team is very nice and trying to get this trashed hotel back up to habitable. The rooms and furnishings are old and still smell of old smoke. There was bugs in the bathroom and the tile was very slippery when wet. The breakfast is a joke. Basically hot water and instant oatmeal and coffee. Time will tell if the owner coughs up the money to get this hotel back to being habitable.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed in, bar none. At check in, there were two dogs behind the counter that stunk badly. Upon heading to the room, found piles of trash stacked by the stairwell door (no elevator). When we got to the room, the door was open, the television on, and the fridge full of items from the previous guest. The bathroom had a pair of construction earplugs hung over the rack. We were greeted by a wasp flying around the room. Oh, and the room smelled sour like a sweaty sandal! None of the pillows had a pillow case on them. The GFCI outlet in the bathroom is painted over. The air conditioner cooled but had a very weak fan, so we had to purchase a fan so that we could sleep. Also Purchased some Febreeze air freshener and Lysol disinfectant to take the stink out of the air and to sanitize the sheets. None of this is an exaggeration or hyperbole, just the facts of the situation. At $100 per night. There’s just no excuse for this at all.
