The Captain’s Retreat is a perfect spot for nature and water lovers. Relax at this peaceful place surrounded by conservation-protected woodlands and swamp. Well located to explore nearby attractions but experience serenity and quiet in the Carolina Lowcountry (19 mi to Bluffton, SC; 26 mi to Hilton Head; 21 mi to Savannah, GA).
Pet and family friendly. Three-bedroom, two full baths with a recently renovated master bath and walk-in shower. Spacious private backyard. Strong wifi and cable TV by firestick. Washer and dryer are in the utility room. Baby and beach gear available for rent upon request.
Kayaks, canoes, and boats are welcome and enjoy the nearby Savannah River, May River, or Calibogue Sound. The Captain’s Retreat is located in Purrysburg near the Savannah River with two boat ramps within approximately a mile—Beck’s Ferry and Mill Stone Landing. There is a place to launch a canoe or kayak in the Savannah River within short walking distance. The Savannah National Wildlife Refuge with hiking and walking trails are nearby (Argyle Island; Kingfisher Loop and Tupelo Trail approximately 10-12 miles away).About pets:Pets allowed: dogs and cats (limit 1 total).Doggie door; no fencing; no pets on furniture.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About customRules:Please contact me if you have me if you have more than one pet.
