This is going to be a long review - stay with me if you’re planning a stay here. Didn’t manage to see many reviews on Tripadvisor on this hotel and booked it based on google reviews. Stayed here for a few nights and soon came to realise that, when a hotel room is cheaper situated in a good locations, there’s gotta be something wrong somewhere. Many wrongs in fact. Starting with the pros first, hotel is located opposite Thamrin Centre and about 10 mins walk to Grand Indonesia Mall. Jakarta’s traffic is notorious so getting to walk everywhere is a big plus. There’s food carts along the road as well. + + + points for that. Hotel is also pleasing to the eyes and can pass off as aesthetically pleasant. It kind of stops there. Feels like this hotel has everything but NOTHING at the same time. Checked in the room and the floor was dirty and dusty and sticky at some parts and there were so many strands of hair EVERYWHERE on the floor and on the bedsheet. Housekeeping team (relatively young men) was outside so i pointed it out to them and in came the broom to sweep it up. Slept and got rashes at night so i asked them to change sheets for me the next day. Compliments to an older gentleman from Housekeeping for changing it promptly Room was minimally stocked which was a surprise considering how pretty it can be. Booked Deluxe King Room and the King bed was 2 bed pushed together.🥴 Toilet was cramped but pretty okay. You get the normal basic set of toiletries which was dusty, and ONLY 2 bath towels (which doesnt soak up water - yea i dont know whats the point) and one safe box and 2 bedroom slippers. That’ it. There wasn’t even any basic tissue box or a hanging Do Not Disturb sign. (No electric ones fyi) When asked, FO say they were working on it. You only get two pillows and extra pillows are chargeable at 25k rupiah each. Wifi was stable but it requires you to constantly sign in after you “sleep” your phone so get ready to memorise the password.🥴 Breakfast was okay with bored looking staff only coming over when you call them. No smiles or whatsoever. Maybe they’re new, not sure. Only staff worth mentioning was another gentleman who went up to us to ask if everything was ok.. They had an in-house SPA and Gym (under maintenance when we were there). Do not, even think of going to the SPA. Book somewhere else. It was weirdly located near the smoking area so it smells very smoky in the SPA and staff was very nonchalant. Booked one of their 2 hours treatment in the morning for an evening slot and when i came, another different staff told me that i can only have one hour massage because she’s alone, but the SPA was empty?! I dont get it. Then what’s the point of booking? I could have booked another SPA if they have told me otherwise. I was pissed but i just agreed to the one hour massage because i wanted a massage but the staff didnt really care. Suspected she was just lazy to do the 2 hours massage and scrub. Dieses Hotel befindet sich im Herzen der Stadtzentrum, so dass der Verkehr extrem schwer und besetzt, die Anfahrt zu Orten extrem schwierig und Zeitverbrauch. Die Lage ist überhaupt nicht gut. Sie brauchen mehr Zeit Zulage, um zum Flughafen zu kommen, um den schweren Verkehr zu betrachten. Es gibt Schlamm überall, hinter dem Hotel und schmutzige Lebensmittelhäuser in der Nähe. Diese Schlamm sollten von der Nähe entfernt werden. Beggars und Obdachlose sind überall, auch außerhalb McDonald's Nachbarschaft. Es gibt McDonald's, Burger King, Starbucks und indo Cafe in der Nähe. Brsides, wir sind sehr enttäuscht über die Reinigkeit des Hotels. Unsere Bettwäsche sind mit Fußstapfen und schmutzigen Farben gefärbt. Die Kleider sind überall im Toilettensitz, die über meine Beine schlagen, während wir sitzen. Es ist so grob. Ich hoffe, dieses Hotel kann seine Reinigkeit verbessern. Saat Saya breakfast di Delima restaurant Saya di Sambut baik open Wulan lalu Saya di layani dental baik open Novi, Febi Dan Helmi. Staff yg lain nya juga sangat ramah Dan sangat membantu. We enjoyed the hotel and staff were helpful, good selection at breakfast and excellent cold draught beer at the bar. However when we left we asked the hotel to book a taxi for us to the high speed rail terminal at Halim. When the taxi arrived I asked the doorman to confirm to the driver where we were going. But the driver took us to halim airport not the high speed rail station and drove off before we realised. We then had to take another taxi to the rail station which took 15 minutes and cost the same as the taxi from the hotel. We were frustrated. A bit more attention to the request and conveying that would have saved us stress and expense. Otherwise a good stay.

Schönes Budgethotel mit sauberem und bequemem Bett. Die Zimmergröße ist ok, nicht so groß wie auf den Bildern, aber nicht schlecht. An Toilettenartikeln gibt es im Badezimmer nur ein Zahnbürstenset, ein Handtuch und Duschgel. Sie könnten Probleme beim Aufladen Ihrer Geräte haben, also bringen Sie besser einen passenden Stecker für die Steckdose mit, es ist ein runder Stecker. Sie stellen keine Wasserflaschen zur Verfügung, aber sie haben mehrere Wasserspender, an denen Sie Wasserflaschen füllen können. Das Frühstück war im Preis inbegriffen und es war wirklich gut.

Sehr zufrieden, wenn ich das nächste Mal wieder im Hotel bin, ist es eine Kirche außerhalb des Fensters. Manchmal wird es sehr scharf am Abend sein, morgens wird es auch eine Stimme geben, die Isolierung ist nicht besonders gut, vollkommen wert.

Ich konnte nicht mit anderen Hotels vergleichen, aber die Luftqualität in diesem Hotel ist gut. Es ist in der Nähe des Ocean Floyd-Bereichs mit dem nächsten großen Mall in Office. Einfach zu taxi gibt es zwei große Einkaufszentren in der Nähe des Fitnessstudios ist klein, aber die Lage ist OK. There’s within 2 km radius good facilities food high quality reasonable ones. They’re all fine so this is a good location. But the weekends really is the problem. It’s really easy to sell out and priced very priced over the weekend 

Decent room in terms of cleanliness and size it's suitable for business travelers. Great service from the staff starting from security to receptionists to housekeepers. I really had a great time staying at Holiday Inn Express Matraman. The only downside on the other hand was the breakfast. The food was not delicious. Staff working at the restaurant were nice however the food was disappointing in my opinion.
