"What a lovely gem in Illinois. Rooms are very spacious and the shower was luxurious! But what makes this place stand out was the hospitality! The hosts made us feel so welcomed! Breakfast was tasty and I wouldn’t change a thing. The area is gorgeous and we had a great time at the Makanda boardwalk and in giant city state park."

"Das Hotel war sehr schön, und das Frühstück war auch gut. Das einzige Problem war die Klimaanlage. Es fühlte sich wie im Zimmer verbrannt. Ich dachte, es könnte sein, weil die Außentemperatur sehr heiß war und unser Zimmer mit der Sonne konfrontiert war, aber ich denke nicht. Das Problem war mit der AC. Darüber hinaus war alles insgesamt großartig."

"The check in was horrible. Somehow Trip.com didn't make the payment so they wanted me to pay again! I contacted Trip.com, Joyce was helpful but she tried calling the hotel and they didn't answer. Eventually the person who wasn't even there at the front desk contacted Trip.com and the payment went through. This whole process took 45 minutes. That kiosk systems isn't good, it is hard to understand the person and it takes forever. Once I was assigned the room, the key didn't work. Oh yeah, they told me there was no WiFi or TV. The bed was good and the air condtioning was very good. The shower was one of those low flow ones. The room was okay. I would have been reasonable happy had the check in gone smoothly and there was WiFi."
